    Mishriff 4/1

Ran a blinder today on reappearance and very much looks the horse that will put it up to Baaeed

The bookies also cut Vadeni despite the trainer confirming his next target as the Irish champion stakes

Desert Crown must be an unlikely runner too given the proximity to the King George

So I think 4s is a backable price for mishriff :good:

Desert crown ruled out of this too

The Arc or Champion stakes are what they are building towards now

Wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see him again this season tbh

They did say he would stay in training as a 4 yr old but with Adayar & Hurricaine Lane not exactly advertising the benefits of the classic generation staying in training at 4 you would have to wonder whether it will be straight off to stud without another run.

Considering towards the end of the year the ground could get quite deep and going directly from Epsom to a Champion Stakes or Arc without a prep is asking an awful lot especially for a horse extremely low on racing experience to begin with.

Fingers crossed we do see him again but wouldn’t be a shocker if we don’t – an unbeaten Derby winner ticks a lot of boxes and the pressure to ship him off to stud might be hard to resist.

    Doesn’t sound too serious.
Stoute taking his time in not to rush him back too soon would be my take from what I have read
You wouldn’t want it lasting out the season though and the longer he is out you’d start to fear the worse

I couldn’t have Baaeed at odds on at his first try at the distance. Misriff is certainly the pick
Bay Bridge at 16’s is a nice price compared to him going off favourite the last time. He wouldn’t want it too fast but an each way play for sure

Adayar’s issue didn’t sound too serious either a week or so before his scheduled Coronation Cup run but that snowballed to the point where we have still yet to see him run this season.

The fact that they have pulled Desert Crown from a race still well over 3 weeks away is cause for some concern because the issue wasn’t deemed serious enough to the point where they were originally planning on galloping him the week before the Eclipse to see whether he could make that race and now they are talking about it not being until September (Irish Champions Stakes) or more likely October (Arc or Champions Stakes) before we could potentially see him again.

Hope it is an over abundance of caution rather than something developing that they now think will take longer to recover from.

I think that state of rest is a big price @ 14’s. Seems like he gets no recognition as being a serious racehorse for some reason. Every race he runs in he seems to getting better and better to me, so why not give it a go.

“…Seems like he gets no recognition as being a serious racehorse for some reason…”

Well said, totally agree with that. Go back in time and see how many 3-yo have won the Cox Plate, one of the top 10F races in the world. Followed that with G1 wins at Longchamp and Ascot and in between was 3rd beaten 1/2L by Alenquer at the Curragh..

You can throw in the G1 Saratoga Derby to boot. Four G1’s in 4 different countries and only a 4YO

Sod it took 18/1 on the exchanges :good:

I would love to see Baaeed bolt up just for the Frankel comparisons… :-)
    His price is short enough.
If Lone Eagle runs at 80’s and I still believe in him would possibly ensure its a proper test and Mishriff 4/1 has the finishing speed

Two threads on this contest and neither has the race name right.

    It’s the International Stakes.

    Who sponsors it doesn’t matter.

This is most vexing for an utter pedant like me.

I can’t see Lone Eagle running as he really wants it soft and 12f but just incase we have a flood I couldn’t refuse a pound on betfair at 300

I’m not gonna lie – I like this whisper.

    A LOT.

    Come on, Mishriff.

You cant be backing baeed for this, given his hardest task was the PP over 8f, which he won, barely, his rating of about 125ish is about correct,FOR 8f, theres nothing to suggest he will run that rating over 10, whereas mishriff, if turning up, will.

He has to drift, has to, must go off about 4/5 – 4/6 on the day

If you are that way inclined mishriff looks a filthy e/w bet at 4/1 3 places

Will there be more than 5 runners

I’m seeing an awful lot of doubtful runners in the entries
