There’s a few reports of TREMLET pulling up in the nets today, and not looking good for tomorrow.
looks like they’ll just be 5 lefties. my remarks obviously put the mockers on for Usman K, and Dougie B. Time to open the pro-plus.
If Usman Kawaja plays instead of Clarke, and Bollinger gets the nod over Siddle, thats 7 of 11 left handers in the Aussie team. That really is remarkable and though initially i thought the price for Swann as top wicket taker was ridiculous i now can’t contemplate any other result.
Alot of writers seem to be overplaying the importance of the 1st test. For me, if England lose the first test their will be room (and value) in them winning the series, however should the Aussies lose i really can’t see them coming back.
the guy definitely has his demons but that is no excuse anymore.
I used to love the guy and i can only think of two sportsmen, Donald Bradman and possibly Phil Taylor, who can be counted as a comparable genius in their field, and that much better than not just their peers but anyone who has played their games.
Would Bradman retire 1 run away from a double century in front of a packed house? Would Taylor refuse a nine darter, i doubt it.I’m afraid i’ve lost my patience with him now, he’s a terrible role model to our kids and seems bored with his talent and the game of snooker.
Has a crime actually taken place,if so i seriously doubt in this country.
The NOTW has paid a middle man (allegedly i suppose) to bribe some pakistani’s to bowl no balls at a pre-determined time. Doesn’t someone then have to gain financially through betting, legal or otherwise, for a crime to have occured? An analogy would be of me paying for insider info on a company but not benefitting through insider trading.If so it seems to me that this guy could get off scot free whilst the players careers are going to go up in smoke.

Peter Harvey denies a charge of attempted murder in July 2009
A science teacher beat a pupil around the head with a dumbbell while shouting "die, die, die", a court heard.Peter Harvey, 50, hit the 14-year-old boy with a 3kg weight at All Saints’ Roman Catholic School, Mansfield, a jury heard.
He denies attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, but has admitted a charge of GBH.
Nottingham Crown Court was told students were filmed calling Mr Harvey a "psycho" moments before the attack.
Another pupil was filming as Mr Harvey tried to restore discipline.
The injured schoolboy, whom Mr Harvey confronted for misbehaving in class, suffered a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.

It could very well be that not allowing the heavy roller to be used between innings this season is the reason behind these results. we will see i suppose.
I managed to watch most of it Nathan, its strange watching a game when you’re rooting for both sides. There’s something about the Bangles that just makes you will them to do better. Their batting is definitely improving.

Other obsevations of the tour include question marks about Cooks captaincy, though i have a feeling he’s ready to take his batting to the next level. Trott was extremely unlucky in 3 of his dismissals and is the batsmen probably most under pressure at the moment. Broad was disappointing, Bresnan was not.On now to the IPL merry-go-round. I’m on Royal Challengers Bangalore to win, though whether i’ll be able to force myself through the inane "we buy any car dot com" adverts on the way to the final is another thing.

Its a great series, with some fantasticly written characters. Once i’d gotten used to the baltimore ‘twang’ you can’t help but love this series.
Characters like stringer bell, frank sabotca, d’angelo barksdale, clarence "sheeee-iiiit" royce and bodie are amongst my favs but season 4 about the kids takes some beating. The wire at its best.
no offense Nathan, but really it was an embarrassment. Only five Englishmen too in the last game, compared with NSW and Victoria who have all australian.
A real good tournament though and i’m sure both the County teams will have had their appetites wetted for returning

A girl who was vaccinated against cervical cancer died from a malignant tumour and not from a reaction to the jab, it has been revealed.
Natalie Morton, 14, died after being given the Cervarix jab at the Blue Coat Church of England School in Coventry.
Deputy coroner for Coventry, Louise Hunt, said the vaccine was not thought to be a contributing factor, but the inquest would look into it.
A pathologist said the cause of death was a malignant tumour of the chest.
It affected both her heart and lungs.
The pathologist who carried out the post-mortem examination on the girl said the tumour was so severe that death could have arisen at any point.
The inquest was opened and adjourned at Coventry Magistrates’ Court.
I think its probable that there may be a continued clamour about Bopara and collingwood’s inclusion who simply scored too slowly. At least Owais looks like he can score at a run a ball at the moment. His laughable athleticism though means he’ll always be mentioned for the chop in the ODI team.
Still, it was an exciting finish and game, showing that there really isn’t much between these teams.
