If it’s honesty you’re after, for me it’s all about the money.<br>I’m no pro-punter and have no illusions of grandeur but consider it more of a hobby which has the joy of being financially rewarding. But if at the end of the day if it was costing me money i’d ditch it in an instant. Infact i’d ditch it if it broke even, because it’s still a waste of my time with the hours of study involved.
Don’t get me wrong, i enjoy the spectacle of the sport and can happily watch a steeplechase with no interest in the race (financial or otherwise)  and still gain enjoyment from it. <br>But as for the satisfaction / proof of being right / solving a puzzle aspect, which i admit is only human instinct to enjoy and the reason we are successful as a species, i can get from playing a game of chess or putting up some shelves and this costs nothing.
So as i see it, satisfaction becomes the bye-product of making money out of racing, just as it would in doing a Rubix cube.

Like last season I notice we should be making serious money following KingMonkey on the all weather, evidently he/she knows his/her stuff. Or is that the reason you do these comps corm, i notice you’ve been going on holiday alot just lately!!:biggrin:

very un-original in my 1st choice of clan royal though obviously the price is hardly backable.<br>I also like Puntal who 2 years ago was jumping an eye catching race before unseating, and then went on to win the then Betred giving 3 lbs to Royal Auclair. Off for over a year since injured, i think he’s a decent price and worth an EW bet.

well i’m sitting on a large antepost bet for Celestial Gold at 22/1 and if i’d had enough sense would have laid off at 10’s when i had the chance. Stupid me decides to leave it until the day, at which point every man and his dog is laying M C Pipe’s stable upto the eyeballs.<br>What to do? Hope springs eternal so may as well sit in hope and stick with it!
And if on top of this Beef or Salmon wins i’m giving the game up.:o

But not only are you making a habit outdrawing me and then knocking me out of the tournament but also my prize money standings in the league are $15 dollars short.
