ok, thank you, a breath of fresh air…

you are a good scholar at this… what I want you to do is write down your success, and loss, than ask the question; where or what am I good at, and where do I fall down, explore the positives, and realise the negatives.

No one is good at everything all the time; is not possible, unless omniscent.

As I told you I am (generally) poor at sprints, and have learnt to ignore the 2-y-old races. Equally anything longer than 1m4. On the whole these fail me, or me them.

Once aware of your strengths, and it does seem you know the difference between sh1t and ice-cream; you will regularly profit. Final word is have conviction in your assumptions. If you dont get it this time, you may well the next. Playing with the cards stacked in your favour knowing your strengths, aids this

Laddies 6’s… 5’s…!! from 40, well 25 when main boards opened.. incredible gamble. I have had to wait all of Ascot for first real bet, hope next year its on the first day

I have Showcasing with that now in a double too, sorry but 7/1 is a good price for this; he came from 2nd last a little over a furlong to nearly catch the Hills horse LTO. Hopelessly placed. Today cos he is on the rail will be closer.

Covering doubles; Showcasing/Gallagher (my second choice) and Showcasing/Marching (pace on that side, my roughie anyway)

    THM

Hows the coup developing on Laddies, some 7/1 I see… I might have been optimistic about it going to 6 may be less… boys mean business… watch Murtagh snatch the riding honours…Imposing for the owners double looks on

    1030 friday … ‘plunge monitor’

…even the magic sign are now 10’s. There might have been a little noblesse-oblige for them to stick it out, fairly sure single figures prior lunch…

Hugh Taylor gives it the green light

still value at 12 on betfair, even if it is only bet to lay, i am confident will start 7 or 6, as Noseda says; as long as there is no hint of rain…

    Laddies… odds taking under weigh… antepost 40 – 14..

now that it is in the race 14 12 11 10… overnight and today (so far)

okay so the stake returns the ‘keep’ of the horse since purchase, the antepost and current ‘strikes’, return the purchase price, more or less.

Now for the ROI, guessing 9 8 7 6 for 100% return on investment. This completes the balance sheet figures..

…now all its got to do is win, my view

    Marching

    that side the biggest threat

    Apprentice rides….

I have just been over the last 10 years results, and it seems claiming apprentices have a poor record:

    1 win – Buick (5lbs),
    0 places, and
    2 5th spots.

One one hand their time ‘might be due’, on the other they may have little chance, as this stat suggests.

Put yourself in the trainer/owner shoes for a second, for this race, a centrepiece of Ascot week, who would you want to ride…this isnt the 745 at Southwell.

If you are interested in an appy, look at

    Marching

, decent foreign form, well drawn, likely up with the pace, and Godolphins rider has proved himself at Group level; regularly. 3lbs off…

… maybe he will, maybe he wont…

think his owners and jockey will though; Wokingham..

low draw is no big deal here, few good pacey and fancied sorts close to the stand rail; Moore, Murtagh, Fortune, Fanning, Callan, Fallon all on this side…

might be a 8 horse race on the stands side, Laddies wins this race, she may beat the lot, (I accept second to Gallagher)

ps looks like u had a great day yesterday; well done.. thnk f@k wasnt betting today with intent..

I have a tenner on Agent Archie, for fun…

No Enact? Moore declared on Bonny Charlie,

No Hawkeyethe noo (was never going to get in)…

…interesting betting shake-up, no doubt many books could close to a nice profit at this stage.

Laddies Poker Two just about in the race, with Enact out, needs one of Fahey’s to go out too. Probably Murtagh up, as Queally dec’d on another lower down.

Did the Irish owners win anything at Ascot yet?

I am expecting a monster coup on this…dont know if it will win, but guess sp around 6… or less
