Yes it does but you still need to remain calm and cool and not make mistakes. Far better jockeys have cocked things up in the past.
Lizzie didn’t1. Listening to other people as opposed to following what I beleive
2. Following trainers
3. Backing Davy Russell
JONJO O’NEILL has dismissed concerns about the health of his string despite the trainer going seven weeks without a winner.
Despite the barren run, O’Neill remains positive. "They’re running all right, they’re just not winning", O’Neill told the Racing Post at Bangor Tuesday.
O’Neill had been fancied to bag a first champion trainers’ title after a sprightly start to the season and he added: "We had a great time and then it just stopped and that’s it. Maybe it’s a lot of summer horses running in the winter."The last comment amused me. Surely being the trainer is it not his job to know if the horse is a summer or winter one and then why run a horse in winter if its a summer one. Strange
I wonder if Dermot Weld agrees with me as I see he is running a hurdler tomorrow, Hold Court, at Cork and Russell is not on it he is on another which would seem to have little chance.
For viewing which is my main point of racing,
Towcester is a wondeful view.
Cheltenham is also wonderful.
Really too many to mention. It’s their job to get it right
Exactly, and that should be the concern of an employer not an enquiry.
That said, I do wonder how anyone can expect a utopian sport where everyone gets everything right all the time. It must be such a pain for you having to take your place in an imperfect society…
Ha Rob if only we lived in a perfect world. My job does not allow me to make mistakes as I dare say does most peoples.
However I am human and make mistakes. However when I do make a mistake I get in trouble for them and like most jobs if I continue I lose my job.
My point is, some kind of enquiry or explanation should have been forthcoming.
As Wit post shows different jurisdictions view things differently and I beleive their stance is the correct one and it is above board and I dare say the betting public have more faith in their racing than what I have in ours.
Please before any tells me to pack it in I love the sport and will continue to follow it and moan, I would just like it more transparentJanuary 1, 2015 at 19:53 in reply to: Worse racecourse of the yr 2014. Let’s start with Warwick #500090I must admit I quite like Warwick as a racecouse.
I like the views at a track as I am old fashioned and use binoculars to watch the race which so few people do these days and Warwick is a good view.
The worst viewing tracks I have been to are Cartmel and Chepstow so they would be my 2 worst racecoursesBan all weather racing x 3
"Burroughhill"]I don’t see why there needs to be an enquiry. He just misjudged the race. Jockeys can’t get it right every time.
It’s their job to get it right, that is what they are paid for unless I am missing something. If you owned the horse and paid the training fees and everything that goes with it I doubt you would be saying that
That is being kind.
Do we know if there was any enquiryAnd what was his gut feel?
Yes what a joy, no all weather.
Long may it continue.
Superb NH racing at Leopardstown and Newbury
Grey Doplhin I find your comment that Lord Windermere wants good ground rather bizarre.
Four of its 6 career wins have come on soft/heavy going, one on good to soft and last years Gold Cup on good.
I just think it was an odd race todayFaugheen was impressive, however I cannot beleive that was Sign of a Victory’s true running. To bad to be true.
If it came up soft it would take a good one to beat him in March.
Also though I think it could be too quick for him sadly.December 24, 2014 at 18:00 in reply to: Our annual festive 'Eastenders' King George free bet #4994191 min26 secs.
good luck everyoneI agree tony 321
But he always does.
If you can explain how he managed to get Holywell beat by Hello George at Catterick I will never know.
People will say track, going and so on but it to me it is still and always will be a mystery
Still JJ is the master of getting a horse right for the big race- AuthorPosts
