Hi again Daz…. I’ve brought this one back to the top cos I think it deserves a bit of recognition. I’m talking thru my pocket cos I selected your first qualifier from each meeting and put it with Urban Dave’s first as well and ended up with a £5 treble….. 5/4.. 3/1.. 3/1.. = £180..
I might even have a pint tonight while I’m watching the footy…… Well done lads….
MrE
The price is OK Matron, eases the pain a little… :) I had a different selection than you today but we were at the same meeting. I had the first ‘un @ 5/4, why did you get 2.30…… Don’t matter though cos we’ve shoved it up Rob…. hehehe…. mind you, we need to string a few wins together now….
Up to date results of the Phenomena just to keep our Rob happy…… :smiley:
B/Forward LS = + 0.31
MrE = + 1.50
L.. L.. 1/2.. 4/11..
LS – 0.83
MrE + 0.90

Rob, you git…. :biggrin: you only mentioned that word profit so’s you could see me wobble. As you are probably well aware, we are getting stuffed at the moment but hang onto you hats young ‘un, the month is young…. This Matron/MrE phenomena is gonna blow through September like a proverbial hurricane….. thats if Matrons gonna pull his finger out… :smiley: :smiley:
I’ll bring the running LOSSES up to date tonight smart arse….. :armbounce: :armbounce: Fingers crossed Matron, this could be embarrassing. If your selection gets turned over today, I’m gonna blame you for picking a loser and Rob for dropping me in it…… :)

Hi Daz…. frigging dyslexic are ya….. the names MrE…..
:smiley: :smiley: :smiley:

Thanks Matron, I honestly expected better odds than that with Courtesy and Fallon teamed up against us. Ah well, I suppose we gotta be thankful for small mercies… I’m confident that we can keep the strike rate up but I hope the prices get better. I think Mr Ladbroke and Mr Hill are watching us and are "doing" our bets. We’ll draw ’em away with our flanker and young Darrell can nip in with his sting….. :smiley: :smiley: :armbounce:
Your turn tomorrow Darrell….. :biggrin: ÂÂÂ

Matron… generally a pretty average month but we cant win ’em all…. I think its a credit to you that you showed a profit with the rubbish SP’s on offer. The main thing is that anybody following you did not lose, keep plodding on, cos it’ll trickle in nice and steady (hopefully). :smiley:

Hi Matron….. here’s the update for our joint selections…
Since Aug. 25th…. 2/7.. 5/6.. 2/5.. 4/5.. L.. L..

Gotta agree with Matron…. No Bet

Yeah, I know what you mean about staking plans and most of ’em I wouldn’t touch with a barge pole, but this one risks no more than the bank that you would adopt for level stakes…. I’ve been betting for over 40 years and have served a long (and costly) apprenticeship, but during that time I’ve met and talked with a lot of intelligent people from whom I have learned a great deal. One of the most helpful things over the last 10 years was how to turn short prices into something worthwhile. I hate that word value, it means different things to different people, it means nothing to me. I prefer the word PROFIT, and as long as the risks are minimal, profit is my aim, not value.
With my betting on short prices I stake 1 point on every selection, whatever that wins goes on to the following selection to make a double. The cut off point is 2/1 or 3 points (thats 2/1 + 1 point stake), if the first two selections dont clear 3 points, then roll forward for the treble. When 3 points are reached, start again, easy peasy….. Yes, it has an element of risk, but watch the profits soar…. and remember, if they all lose you can only lose 25 points, and you’d probably be just as stuffed with level stakes if results were this bad….. lets just try it on paper for this month, you can judge by that……. I must be settling in here to be writing this much, I hope its of use to everybody. Its the only way to bet odds on shots to win money with little risk to capital……..
MrE
Matron, to help share the chores, I’ll keep scores of our joint attempt at satchel busting…. I’ll keep two scores if thats OK because I dont think that level stakes at these prices is the correct reflection on just how good this short price betting is…… I understand that to a lot of people, level stakes is the only true staking plan, not so, and hopefully I’ll prove it during the course of the month…. Both methods require a bank of 25 points because thats how many bets were likely to strike in a month……..since 25th Aug = 2/7.. 5/6.. 2/5.. 4/5..
LSP = + 2.31 points
MrE = + 6.42 points
I hope you find this satifactory Matron…. :dance:

Matron….You can and will maintain the strike rate most of the time although it does tend to drop a bit lower during the jumping season. Well it does for me and I assume that we are close enough in our selection methods to assume that the same will apply to you. I have about two losing months per year and I dont lose anywhere near my monthly bank, by losing I mean that I fail to make a profit and some of my bank is gone. I have never totally wiped out my bank. The paper (or method) that you use gives you a slightly better strike rate than me but I compensate now by betting yours and only betting mine when your having a No Bet…. when were both on the same race its still 100% (8/8 this month). keep batting and dont doubt yourself for a minute…. your on fire my friend and I hope the rest of the group is following……… :buddy:
MrE
I dont know if there are any members taking notice Matron but your thread has now given 8 winners on the trot….. who says betting short aint profitable…… C’mon September…… :armbounce: :armbounce: :buddy:
