This system is one i devised myself,i entred this system in a comprtition for intheknow magazine.
It won first prize for its simplicity and profitability. Here are the system rules for you to start using.
1)ONLY USE NONE HANDICAP RACES.
2)PICK OUT THE HORSE THAT IS 2/1 OR MORE IN THE BETTING FORCAST ANY NEWSPAPER CAN BE USED THE RESULTS WILL NOT VARY MUCH.
3)YOUR SELECTION SHOULD ALSO BE DISTANCE WINNER,BUT THIS IS NOT ESSENTIAL IN MOST RACES.
4)YOUR SELECTION MUST ALSO HAVE BEEN PLACED 1ST 2ND OR 3RD.
This is a very simple system that as been tested on past results, by the above mentioned magazine
try it yourself you will be amazed by the results and strike rate.
August 29, 2001 at 07:09 #45875Hi Darrell & welcome to the forum
Just one question – the last rule said it must have finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd, but is this last time out or anytime in its career?
August 29, 2001 at 07:55 #45876Welcome Darrell.:bounce:
Enjoy the Forum.

August 29, 2001 at 08:03 #45877I think i’ve seen one similar to this and it was 1st 2nd or 3rd on its most recent start but i’m not certain about this one.
Welcome to the forum Darrell!
August 29, 2001 at 22:37 #45878The last time out form figure is the one to use.
I also stated that any newspaper can be used
but my personal preference is to use the sun.
I hope this clears up a few points.
Thankyou very much to all for the welcome.
September 3, 2001 at 21:04 #45879In reply IAN
When i say 2/1 i mean the one horse that is quoted at that price or nearest, or over 2/1.
eg. 6/4 dancing falcon 7/4 rainbow arc 9/4 special day
7/2 tic tac.
so 9/4 special day would be the selection.
This rule makes sure thier is only one selection in each race.
September 5, 2001 at 18:07 #45880Hi again Daz…. I’ve brought this one back to the top cos I think it deserves a bit of recognition. I’m talking thru my pocket cos I selected your first qualifier from each meeting and put it with Urban Dave’s first as well and ended up with a £5 treble….. 5/4.. 3/1.. 3/1.. = £180..
I might even have a pint tonight while I’m watching the footy…… Well done lads….

September 7, 2001 at 18:46 #45885Oy Daz…. this here system of yours selects an awful lot of horses and I find that a bit disconcerting. I have never liked trying to cover lots of bets cos I usually get it wrong….. have you got any past results for just using the principal meeting of the day….. the last 3 days for instance, would have given you 3 winners from 6 selections….. L.. L.. L.. 9/4.. 6/5.. 9/2.. could this be the norm…….

September 9, 2001 at 20:24 #45886HI MR.E
BEEHAVING PROBLEMS GETTING ONTO THE FORUM SORRY ITS TOOK SO LONG TO REPLY.
IVE NO RESULTS FOR JUST USING THE PRINCIPLE MEETING.BUT IF YOU DONT LIKE TO HAVE TO MANY BETS.
THEN STICK TO THE PRINCIPLE MEETING,AND ONLY USE HORSES THAT ARE DISTANCE WINNERS THIS SHOULD REDUCE YOUR SELECTIONS.
SOME DAYS YOU WILL END UP WITH NO BETS AT ALL.
HOPE THIS AS CLEARED UP A FEW POINTS.
DAZ
September 14, 2001 at 22:13 #45887Do You Want To Win Long Term At Horse Racing ?. ok, her`es how its done .
(1) only bet in non -handicap races.
(2) take the (3) most consistent from the first (5) in the (b/f/c) , searching for examples of (illusionary form) in any of their last (3) races , of which these are the the most blatant .
(a) Force the horse to carry a larger weight in lower class , or same class as last race.
(b) Run a horse so it is out of its depth , I.E, much higher class.
(c) Use blinkers or a hood.
(d) Run the horse over an unsuitable trip or unsuitable ground.
(e) Change horses running tactics I.E. hold up natural front runner .
(f) Race horses on track to which it is not suited , be prepaired to forgive a normally consistent horse (one bad run ) counting (backwards or forwards) where appropriate , even if an (illusion in form) is spotted @ rectified , no horse should have a rating above (12) @ all horses must have won one of their last two races.
(4) From these (3) consistent horses only consider the horse who is top on ability, I.E. The horse who has won most win prizemoney to races won.
(5) They must be carrying the(same or less weight ) than their key race I.E. normally one of their last (3) races , we may if we want consult postmark @ topspeed from last (3) races to gauge (peak form), but use as a guide only.
(6) Horse must have won over the distance o further , unless (form comments) suggest trip will be no problem.
Yours Sincerely.
Jim Baxter.
p.s. most of the workings in this method are not of my own making , @ a certain mr head is responsible for the( illusionary form ) aspect of the contibution, so it is to him that i offer my humble respects.

September 19, 2001 at 12:49 #45888Hi ya Breezy….. whats the chance of putting your selections up here for a month. I’m looking at a half dozen on here that look promising but I aint got time to work yours out. If your system seems to show promise, I’ll look a bit deeper into it and keep the members up to date…….. wattya fink….

September 22, 2001 at 22:26 #45889Daz….I’ve brought this ‘un back to the top again cos its looking promising…. I said earlier that it looked good using just the principal meeting. The first of 2 selections won today @ 2/1, now if you chuck that onto the earlier results that put down, you’ve got a banging good strike rate…..
L.. L.. L.. 9/4.. 6/5.. 9/2.. 2/1.. L..
worth keeping an eye on…. mind you, I had Ayr down as the Principal meeting and the jury’s still out there. there’s a possibility it might have been Newbury but I doubt with it being Gold Cup day at Ayr….. nice one Daz, very interesting……….

September 23, 2001 at 18:08 #45890HI MR E.
PLEASE TO HERE YOUR FOLLOWING THE SYSTEM.
I TOO WOULD HAVE HAD AYR DWN HAS THE PRINCIPLE MEETING.AS A RULE, TO FIND OUT THE PRINCIPLE MEETING I WOULD ADD TOGETHER THE TOTAL PRIZE MONEY FOR EACH RACE TO FIND OUT WHICH MEETING AS THE HIGHEST AND I WOULD USE THAT AS A ROUGH INDICATION AS TO THE RIGHT MEETING. THE STRIKE RATE IS VERY GOOD, AS I SAID BEFORE A ONE IN THREE STRIKE RATE FOR THIS SYSTEM CAN BE EXPECTED. WHICH IS WHAT WE NEED, ONCE YOUR INITIAL BANK AS DOUBLED INCREASE YOUR STAKE BY 1/2 A POINT.

DAZ.
