Phew… I’d have thought it woulda been the first race at Worcester, surely that Pipey hotpot aint gonna be any value. Anyway, it doesn’t matter, from today your in charge Brucie…. hehehe… lets go smack some butt…..

Matron…. using your selections as normal and chucking one of mine in when you dont have a selection (providing I’ve got one that is), would have given us in August, 16 Winners and 5 Losers…. there would have been a LSP of 10 points so far…. using my own staking method would have increased that to 27.6 points profit… It may be worth while just following this idea for a time just to see how it pans out………… it works just as well the other way round too so we should find the going quite comfortable…… Wattya think, should we try it ?????

Nice one again Matron, I also agreed with that ‘un but couldn’t get to the ‘puter (my grandkids were all over it and I hardly got a look in)…. hehehe…. as mentioned earlier, I’m gonna check back to see if running mine alongside yours would increase our winnings, with hindsight I think they may…
MrE
Morning Matron, the difference in these two papers is amazing. According to mine I’ve got York @ 40%… Musselburgh @ 39% and ‘lil ole Folkestone @ 33%…..
Anyway, theres a No Bet from me….. hope yours comes in……
MrE
Nice one today Matron but I think you do yourself a gross injustice. The SP’s that you quote are nowhere near to what you can get earlier in the day….. I got 5/6 with Luvbet on Dearest Daisy and its the same most days, with the advent of Internet Betting, there aint many punters that cant get better than SP…..
MrE
Hooray, were in agreement…. I got that ‘un too Matron. Looks to be in with a shout… :buddy:

Hi All…. I cannot see the reason for me to put my tips on the board, surely this section is just to air systems to see if they work and not a place to start a tipping competition….. please don’t take this the wrong way, it is not meant to offend… The system that Matron is using on here is almost the same as the method I have been using for a long time, and with reasonable success. It seems that the only difference between the two of us is the media used, Matron uses the "Times" and I use the "Racing Post" but apart from a couple of filters, we will end up with the same selections sooner or later….. The basics of the system were laid down at the very beginning and there is very little to add except to reiterate what I’ve already stated, that to make the operation worthwhile for me, I use a different staking plan…… I will help anybody if they need further clarification but honestly people, I would feel bloody uncomfortable tipping. It takes a lot of bottle to lay yourself open to criticism and I take my hat of to Matron, Rob and Jez for doing just that……
  I’ll keep jabbing away with Matron and if I can overcome this feeling of acute embarrassment, perhaps I’ll have ago….. now I’m gonna have to hide my red face…. :fire:
MrE
Yep, I gottim @ 5/6 although the SP of 4/6 woulda been acceptable, just. Any less and I’d have let it go, I dont like betting short in maidens….. Tomorrow gives me a headache, the meeting is York, the race is the 3.45 and the horse is Storming Home….. but it wont be carrying my wonga, not when its got another 6 Group one horses against it. The Post has it at 5/4 and I’ll want better than that against that competition….. Lets hope your betting at the other meeting Matron…
Concerning me putting my selections on the board, see following post…………
MrE
Matron…. according to the RP, its the other way round. Its got your choice (Willie Conquer) at 8/11 but Zamyatina is 10/11………… I think we’ve got some homework to do to find out which is the best paper cos these two are way apart. All we can do is keep pottering on and keep notes. I’ve been doing it this way for a few years now and its always paid for an holiday, but your strike rates were looking good too when choosing different gee gees, so I had to take an interest. These methods could compliment one another and I wouldn’t feel at all guilty taking more money from the bookies…….
MrE
Dunno wether I’d change over papers just yet Matron, you’ve still got a tremendous strike rate. I dont agree with your staking but I cant fault your "hits"….. We possibly differ in our technique and you may not "feel" the same way that I do about the selected race. Today is an example, I would just be tempted to go for 2.30 Brighton, but you have declined…. Why ???? …. the fact that its a 2yo maiden race doesn’t bother me, yes, there are a couple of newcomers but the possible bad price is the only sticky bit, I hate poor prices in maidens.
I wouldnt change totally, follow ’em both by all means but stick it out for a while with the same format cos its still impressive…………..
MrE
Evening Matron….. I’ve checking out the difference in the stats between the two papers, you said in an earlier posting that the stats in your paper was over 10 years, in the RP its 5 years, so problem sorted…. I think……. … I think we need to keep a wary eye on both papers cos at present, for August, I have 11 wins and 3 losers (but I do bet on a Sunday if there’s a selection)…. Keep hitting ’em where it hurts Matron, we need a few more down here in "Systems"…
MrE
Morning Matron….. were not gonna agree again today cos I notice that according to your paper, the meeting is Bangor with 37%…… The Racing Post says its Ripon with 47%…. thats a tremendous difference in stats, can you shed any light on why ?????
I’ll be betting at Ripon but because we differ in our choices I’ll call a no bet on here (that’ll keep our 100% record intact…..
MrE
I made it 7.50 Catterick but I’m gonna bow to your superior strike rate and give it a miss again….. it does look a dodgy race dunnit……
MrE
Hi Matron, well we differ again. I’ve got Beverley as the meeting so I’ll give today a miss… all the best, stuffit up ’em……..
MrE
Evening Matron… I only popped off for a couple of days and what happened…. Yep, another winner….
Keep it up now I’m back, I need to replace spent finances…..
MrE
BINGO… were in agreement at last…… hehehe…
first race is too open and cant raise any confidence in it. The same goes for the later race, although Pipey’s looks promising there are a couple of dark ‘uns in it…. so lets lump on, well, I’ll have a quid on anyway…… … all the best Matron, stuff it up ’em……
