Its pointless just wait till they get back and off the horse. New competition needs to be added to these meetings for jockeys who can mow down the tv presenter first.

Never listen to a word said by any trainer or jockey at a preview night. Also letting your heart rule you head can work.

Never seen an owner so dissapointed to win a race as much as Ricci was ( its still a race at the festival after all). A classic case of a man talked out of it. But at the same time knowing how much Mullins wants to win the gold cup must be a massive pointer to the Djackadam.

He had to much baggage ever to say it was purely age which is a shame as I cant help feeling if the other presenter who were sacked had gone to court then maybe it would of been different. C4 racing is really unwatchable now and love him or loathe him Big Mac was never dull. The current presenters offer nothing in personality, give hardly anything towards the racing and the old banter that was there is replaced with sterile chat. Im under 30 which is supposed to be there target audience now and all they have made me do is sign up to RUK

i think time will see him in a different light. Like all the great horses there never given the full credit for there acheivement till long after theyve gone. People are all to easy to knock when there around but once there gone u can see the magnitude of the achievement. He will go down in racing history and its fully deserved.

is it a wonder trainers are so reluctant to give interviews when they get asked silly questions by people like rishi persad. How that man got a job like that astounds me. Not only did he manage to offend henry cecil but spent the first part of the stoute interview gabbling about yesterdays stewards enquiry. Get ian bartlett to interview them instead of just letting him stand in front of a large screen.

I have to agree the bbc coverage really is awful i know they want to aim the coverage at the once a year punter but there is no need to present it in such a childish dumbed down version. i dont want to see willie carson and ronnie corbett running up and down a plank of wood i want to see the 15 horses in the parade ring thank you.

The presenters are a joke. rishi persad and his abysmall post race interviews please for the love of god ask the trainer a decent question and not about the colour of there tie.
Then uv got jim mcgrath and his commentating my favourite from yesterday being " and theres the crowd in the background" lovley im not blind and this aint radio im more intrested in the horses on that grass strip plus whos this panel of experts that give the horses them stars cuz thats another joke

And im not gonna get started on laurel and hardy in the betting ring how can they employ a man who said at the grand national meeting dont back anything on this page cuz it cant win yet two of em finished in the first five.
If they want to attract new people to racing a few more stable visits a proper look at the horses close up with a decent bunch of experts and a better commentater and betting expert.

He seems to have the attitude of persian punch. Go off in front as fast as he can and even if you pass him he finds more.I still cant belive after the season he had last year how he has come out of it still in love with the game must be made of iron.

I always seem to do quite well in the national.got comply or die last year amberleigh house in 2004 both at a juicy price.
But there late 90s were the best

1997 Lord gylene and suny bay (ew)
1998 earth summit an suny bay again
    1999 bobbyjo

Thats probably one of the reasons its my favourite race.

i cant see what pleasure it brings him having horses that are tailed off after 2 furlongs. Why cant he run them in there own grade where he can have a chance to enjoy them winning. Its just appaling seeing horses that once had talent running twice at a festival for no reason. He should save his money and buy a decent horse that at least has a chance of being placed.

Im sure he said last year after the festival that he would be having no more runners as he was selling his horses.

i quite agree with paul nicholls comments and rippling ring as at least still got an iota of talent and is not likley to be tailed off after jumping 2 flights.

If they cared they would just retire him straight away. They have had a warning shot at newbury when he went wrong and it would be dreadfull if something happened to him like best mate or dorans pride. He has nothing to prove and its not lke hes there only good horse in the yard.

I agree that the old AW jumping was awful and unsafe but it has imprved since then. I remember paul nicholls talking about schooling his horses on a spongy fibersand cant remember the name of it. but he said he never has had a horse injured on it because it acts as a cushion.Admittedly its not at racing pace but it shows the progress AW has made. If AW racing isnt a solution stick underground heating in like football pitches and lets stop losing all these meetings.

It has to be worth another try with proper testing on different surfaces. I do like any racing but i really cant stand watching anymore AW racing it really is no substitute for jump racing.
But I dont think it will ever happen over a long term as there will be such an uproar from animal rights groups if theres even a slight injury.

Cant see denman winning even if he does run there are going to be some quality horses on featherweights and over the national trip i dont think it can be done carrying top weight anymore. That run in would make it tell.

i still fancy last years winner comply or die to come back to form and run a good race. They havnt used the blinkers this season and mite be saving them for this. Would love to see war of attrition entered too.

Since the listner does all his racing in ireland nowadays perhaps moving him to an irish trainer would make more sense instead of keep traveling back and forth.

What a horse. Says something when all the other pipe horses seem to be folding up on the home straight this one pulls it out of the fire.

I think it was a few seasons ago when martin pipe was bang out of form he came out and won for him. He must be there saving grace

It has to be soldier of fortune laid out for the race this year and the ground at longchamp will probably suit him better than the duke. The duke will probably go for the breeders cup turf. Cant see them running both.
