Had a nice ew bet this morning on Mahler Lad @ 33/1 for the bumper, now trained by D McCain he took the scalps of the Mullins pair Bellshill & Bordini in his PtP back in March last year. He is entered up for a Bumper at Bangor on Monday which he may win very impressively and take a tumble in the odds.

Douvan looks the winner as of today and I think he will probably win but the question is do you back him now or wait for the day, Will us Irish weigh in on the day and back him off the boards? might go off 1/1 if that happens or will the bookies try to get him on the morning of the race? One niggle I have is that Willie Mullins comment prior to the race the other day about him enjoying going right handed (I did not see the quote so please correct me if I got it wrong), now its probably nothing but still!!

I have had a good bet this morning at 7/4 NRNB on Sprinter, Here is my thinking for what its worth, If he wins on Sat he will be a 4/6-1/2 I think for the Queen Mum,If he is not right and does not run run I’ll get my cash back. Personally think that if he is 90% of the horse he was he will win in March.Very little downside to the bet I think but time will tell

There is definitely a plan for this lad but not sure it’s the x country, personally feel that he would struggle to stay 3m 7f,but he definitely wasn’t bought for the hell of it and no better outfit to plot one up.
