There is also the classic, and in my humble opinion the finest naming of a horse of all time, Geespot, who was by Pursuit Of Love out of a mare called My Discovery.

While I do think it was a really bad ride on this occasion I think the punishment does not fit the crime, I do think this may have been a subconscious totting up process by the Stewards on the day, I have a feeling that the stewards were waiting for an opportunity to have a “word” with those particular connections, however as has been mentioned it’s consistency in the stewarding thats the problem, have a look at the concluding bumper on the same card yesterday, to my eyes at least Katie’s ride was almost identical to what they did Barry for yesterday but she was not even called in for a chat after.

How about this for a scenario.

    Annie Power – Champion Hurdle

Vroum Vroum Mag – World Hurdle

    Limini – Mares Hurdle

    Karalee – Mares Novice Hurdle

Now granted the above is about as likely as a Charles Byrnes gamble going wrong (another beauty today 4/1 – 4/6) but all those above have the same owner and stable, Karalee made an impression on me when I saw her win at Killarney last year and would in my opinion be good enough to win the novice. Would that give the owner the biggest chance of winning all four of those races?

Asked Eddie O Leary at Clonmel 2 weeks ago about plans for Milsean, ” a long summer on grass, has picked up a leg and out until next season, has been at home since Cheltenham last year”
