In the interview on Saturday on The Morning Line, he hinted that the 2 other stable jocks, Heffernan and O’Donoghue would be thought of, but if Fallon is turning down a ride, you have to assume he has a better one lined up, presumably with Ballydoyle.

The betfair derby market this year has been an absolute farce, and has been so unbelievably turbulent.

Mark Johnston speaks a hell of a lot of sense bout his profession……..RFC should listen!!!……………….CLOSELY.

St Nicholas Abbey won’t run i think. out to near 5/1

JV into 11/4 and closing in on 5/2

Now 7 on the machines, unreal price given what happens, which leads to me to believe he won’t run also. Heightens Cape Blanco’s chances of running? (fingers crossed ;0))

How about Fallon riding the winner of the English and the French derby for Ballydoyle? Viscount Nelson and StNA?

Would like to see Fallon win a classic, would be really glad for him.

Oh and Big Bucks, please could you explain how St Nic has the best 3 year old form please?

And just to follow up my recent post with the following scenario’s…

    a) Couple 1 – a hardworking couple from Fulham go out for a meal at a decent restaurant and have a couple of bottles of their favourite wine. A couple of hours out and they’ve spent say 150 pounds.

    b) Couple 2 – a hardworking couple from a Council estate in West Yorkshire call at their local Chippy and eat their Fish & Chips and then head down to their local bookies and sit in there on the Roulette machine for a couple of hours and they spend 150 pounds.

Why is one of those any more of a mug than the other?

Why is one of those more socially acceptable than the other?

    I await responses with interest…

Couple 1 for obvious reasons, because of the taboo of scenario 2, and for what its worth, I grew up on a West Yorkshire council estate.

Love Bryony’s articles, usually every Tuesday in the Telegraph, she is fairly sharp.

She fairly accurate though. People who are in their doing their money on the machines and betting on every race are keeping the bookies alive.

Given he’s the best horse in the race, with the best 2yo AND 3yo form, that’s not entirely surprising

    What difference a year makes . .

Jan Vermeer looks great Arc specimen, looks like trip would be to suit too. I’ll be getting on before the Derby, if he wins that, will get slashed to 3s

Said at the start of the season:

Aviate or Timepiece will win the Oaks
St Nic won’t win a race
Rip Van Winkle will go unbeaten

Should have backed them then . .

Wondered why they plunged into Jan Vermeer.

May be a silly question, but has there been any word at all from Ballydoyle on this?

Got on Aviates at 25s. Stayed on well after a shocker in the Musiadora. Should be 5/2. If Cecil can’t win the Oaks, especially with the two he has, would be a travesty for him after the Guineas.
