A good site I have always used for wind direction with great results, i google eg ‘Ascot racecourse myweather2’. You will get direction and mph always been very accurate. I go on racing post satellite racecourse map to remind me of the course direction :good:

‘There is no value in horse race betting anymore’ that’s simply not true. The fractions move too much not to be able to find value. Sure compilers and punters have more knowledge and tools at their disposal but the only way there wouldn’t be value is if the opening odds where very accurate and the market hardly moved! For sure it’s harder than it used to be.

Hi Mark, it’s good to see you with a thread again. It’s been a few years!?

I have been toying with starting this flat season but bottled it. I feel if I’m in I’m in and not sure inhave the time or want the stress of it! I looked at the Cammidge yesterday and picked out Montasib at 7/2 or bigger I thought there’s no way Haggas is taking 1 to Doncaster all that way if he’s not tuned up! Is that something you look into atall? Then I felt frustrated I didn’t bet and I thought are the ups and downs of it for me haha. Good luck this season, I will be rooting for this.

    Sam

  didn’t do her. Was too concerned about the pace then they ended up being prominent on her  still would have won either way kicking myself was 19/ 1 at the time I tipped. Picked King’s Lynn. 8.4/1 ended up 4/1J looked fat pre race….. had no kind of run either. It can kick you thus game.

It’s wide open. The fav El caballo is way too short imo will hate the soft/heavy ground and surely a likely non runner.

    No pace in the race.

I like Vadream. Will love the ground and is race fit, however the mares a hold up horse which is a concern.

    Montassib 14/1

Montassib has been crying out for softer ground, he is 6lb better off with Wanees for 3/4 length but 5 points bigger in the betting. In saying that I’ve just had to go in because 14/1 is about to disapear imo.

Always better to be at a track at this time of year and see who’s fit and ready

    Poor first selection. No excuses.

The next qualifying race is at Chelmsford on Thursday.
