come on the 5 yr old stat is now a myth

    2009 crack away 4th 5 yr old
    binocular 3rd 5 yr old
    celestial 2nd 5y old

    2008 punjabi 3rd 5 yr old
    katchit 1st 5 yr old

the only thing with at least 3 of these were they were hardened falt campigners where zaynar is still very lightly raced

i personally think its a better standard of horses when young are providing that the 5 yr stat is not to worry about but thats my opinion!!!

i really believe that zaynar is an absolute beast but time will tell if i am right

i really fancy air force one for this race, former top class novice hurdler, classy novice chaser ran well in hennessy and has run in the gold cup

former grade 1 winner as a novice and seems to stay well

i just think he is a typical decent old fashioned type of horse to be able to figure in this race

but i dont know what has happened to him

does any one know if he is injured or not

the more i look at the champion hurdle all i see is zaynar being the only horse who could be something special over hurdles, the only problem will be can he lie up early on???

personally judged on is ascot run on good ground he travelled particuraly well but is jumping has to be spot on!!! soft ground would help slow the others down but even on good ground i just think zaynar has too much of an engine especially in the way he destroy cape tribulations who ran a good race in the xmas hurdle

the only problem i have with zaynar is that he has not raced over 2 miles against proper champion hurdlers personally i think they should go over to ireland and test him

i just think he is like brave inca but a better horse just a feeling i have!!!!

go native for me does not have the engine and will have to have the race run perfectly for him to win personally he is a place lay!!

What can i say that was truely an awesome performance where he absolutly destroyed them, but lets get things into reality, barbers shop was recieving a stone and a half from denman in the hennesy so in reality kauto had to of put on this type of performance!!!

there are holes in the form, visually this was more impressive than denmans but denmans form for me is more solid (last time out runs only)

cheltenham tend to overwater for political reasons so the best ground kauto could hope for would be soft side of good which would be perfect but for some reason i am expecting soft ground or holding ground just a pure hunch tbh!!!

soft ground/ good to soft – denman has the advantage because he will kick hard at 5 from home!!

good ground or soft side of good kauto should be able to outkick denman

for me i have always been a denman purely over the trip because it is such a big test and i was never really convinced that kauto was truely a stayer, i still have my doubts because denman will set hardish fractions!!! (i am hoping mccoy gets the call) i just dont see kauto quickening twice to beat denman

kauto’s jumping gets sticky in softish ground thats why i have my doubts if he really should be favourite all i see is the monster denman being fresh happy and back to is hardened best i see him outstaying kauto star when he looks vunerable for moment!!

there is no doubt these two are truely great horses we are blessed that are in our era!!

am i the only one who has doubts about joncols stamina, only once he tried the trip and for me he got outstayed by an average 140 horse!!!

i will be taking him with notre petre with me doing some jazzy rain dancing lol!! belive me notre is a very reliable stayer who gets into a good rhythm at leopardstown!!! i see him outstaying everything

cooldine needs the run and joncol dont stay also VPU wont stay unless they go slow which wont happen

denman should of ran pity tbh

now this has been moved to newbury with the long straight i just cant see big bucks not running diamond harry down!!

i think diamond harry is really a chaser, he seemed to look a different horse over the brush hurdles (mini fences) and he seemed to respect them more, back over conventional hurdles and the way he flattened down under pressure in the ballymore one has to doubt if he really is a hurdler!! personally i think he just wants a trip which one offset that but big bucks is way too good for him!!

big bucks jumped brillantly last time out and will once again show why a few people rated him as the best staying hurdler ever i struggle to think if ID or Baracouda could beat him
