@greenasgrass I don’t mean to demean anyone and agree Frankel’s performance was supernatural who could sit with the Gods of Olympus.However horse racing is also about the thrills or excitement it gives with supremacy not the criteria.Grundy Dancing Brave or Roberto hardly won with the pomp of a Sea Bird,Robot or Shergar but still gave the racing public more thrills.

How do you compare Treve to Zarkava?better?Close to a Sea Bird or Mill Reef?
@David Was not Alleged better in 1978?Any view on my rating in order of merit?Zarkava aand Treve right up there? I feel after Sea Bird and Dancing Brave Peintre Celebre was oustanding and Ribot considering era.I don’t think Sea the Stars was at his best in the Arc.
@GoldenMiller34 Would Golden Miller have beaten Arkle ever?A comparable performance with respect to weights and opposition?

@ExRubyLight I have considered your viewpoint and made an alteration demoting Red Rum to fifth place,behind Kauto and Dessie.Kindly let me know your overall view son my ranking.
@ExRubyLight You are very correct in terms of pure class.However remember Red Rum’s achievement of winning three Grand nationals and 2 runner up berths is so phenomenal that it will possibly never be equalled.You have a valid point but bot Arkle and Desert Orchid were better handicappers than Kauto.Would yuo rate Kuato star at the top-ahead of Arkle or Golden Miller?I very much contemplated placing Arkle at Top and Kauto 2nd or 3rd.On pure ability that was the order.
Racing forum viewers kindly join me her in paying tribute to immortal Nijinsky on 50th anniversary day of capturing elusive triple crown.Please contribute to debate on whether his achievement was the very best in history.Arguably Nashwan and Sea the Stars may well have won the triple crown if run in the St Leger.I somehow doubt Dancing brave would have stayed the leger distance,similar to Shergar or Sir Ivor.Had Brigadier Gerard nor raced in his year almost certainly Mill Reef could have won a triple crown,but maybe at the cost of an Arc.Greats like Troy and Shergar were the typical middle-distance proto-types who could not win beyond a mile and half nor below a distance of 10 furlongs.
It occured to me that none of the equine stars have won a Leger and Arc in the same season.

Thanks a lot @homersimpson .Made correction on Kauto Star’s number of Gold cup and King George wins.Still feel Golden Miller was better on basis of winning 5 Gold cups as well as a national and Gold cup in same year.Also carried topweight to win in record times.On achievement ahead of Kauto,who ofcourse had more racing ability.
Would you place Kauto at no 1.?Ahead of Arkle and Golden Miller?

@Gladiateur Did Not Red Rum acheive glory unprecedented -No horse may ever achieve what he did-immortality in Grand National history.

@Cancello Please Remember Vincent O’Brien calling Golden Fleece almost the equal of Nijinsky or Sir Ivor and Pat Eddery rating it even above Dancing Brave ,as the best he ever rode.Arguably even El Gran Senor had marginally more class than Alleged,with owner Robert Sangster rating it as his best horse ever.I agree on pure performance Alleged was ahead.
@Gladiateur I agree with Prince Regent and also perhaps forgot Hatton’s Grace.I did consider achievement in case of Dawn Run that is why it merited that place.
