Looks Like Trouble is the horse with the best credentials alright.
Smithy
Where did you find out their new ratings? Is it possible to get them on-line?
I think there has been too much hype about Bacchanal’s performance last Saturday. The bare form is that he beat Shotgun Willy by 12L, who was according to Paul Nicholls having "his first run of the season really". On Willy’s actual first run of the season he was beaten 19L by Sackville (might have been closer but for being hampered by Lord Noelie falling). This would indicate there isn’t very much between Bacchanal and Sacvkville (forgetting about the latter’s run last Sunday which was too bad to be true). If Sackville turns up in peak condition at Cheltenham, on ground no worse than soft, he will have as good a chance as Bacchanal. The only difference is one will start about 6/1, the other at about 16/1. I know who I’d want to be on then!
Nice one Kathy. I doubt he picked up any fillies though. After all he is a gelding.
johnny boy
not a chance you’ll get 2/1 on the day. If he turns up fit and well on March 12th the Irish (and a few brits too I suspect) will relish the chance to get stuck into him at odds against. He’ll go off at 6/4 or shorter. ÂÂÂ
Cashmans have cut Istabraq to 2/1 after having him at 5/2 over the weekend. I should have backed him at that price but I will wait until nearer the race (about a week prior) before I back him. I’ll be lucky to get 7/4 then but even so it would be a great price. Ned Kelly and Landing Light are the only dangers (forget Valiramix) but there’ll be no stopping the great one on the day.
Could somebody start another rumour around the first week of March so I might be able to get a longer price!
:wollyhat:
