3 Questions
What bookie takes a bet on this race?
Where time does the race take place?
Where can I view the card?
Thanks
This race looks trappy enough BSB. Iffraaj looks like being favourite but I think Coupe De Champe could go well being 2 from 3 over CD and only beaten a length in the other one. I’ve never really heard of the trainer so might be a nice price and if no NRs, 3 places available.
Timeform Groundwork states
"Results suggest that there is no strong draw bias on the straight course, though the Abbaye usually sets up towards the rail, nearest those drawn low. Low drawn runners are also on the inside on the round course, though outside of the Arc, fields are rarely big enough to make stalls position a talking point."
Hope this helps
PM me if you need further info.
RD, sometimes I think it too:biggrin:
Well done Aragorn and commiserations to Stow who had the runner-up.
Although I think that Flashy Wings over 6f will be very difficult to beat, Mixed Blessing looks interesting at 46.0 on BF. Has already beaten both Nidhaal and Nannina in a Gr3 at Nby beating the course record for 2yo before running 3rd behind Nannina in a 7f contest next time out. Last run at Ayr was pretty poor but if it can be forgiven, I think she is a great outside chance at that price. If you fancy her for a place, she is currently 9.20 on BF.
I don’t know if there is such a site or not.
Is there a particular set of colours you want to know. If so post it up and somebody might know who owns them.
I backed her too. I thought it was a poor Group 3 anyway and figured she would be odds-on so the 6/4 was generous IMO. She won on her 1st run last year too.
Really fancied Rakti today too but he was strangely poor. He just couldn’t shake them off like his run in the Juddmonte.
My regret of the day though was Land & Stars. Over 100/1 on BF just before the off and I chickened out and backed him for the place. Still 12/1 but you don’t pick too many 100/1 winners!

I’m away for the weekend so here are the bets for the weekend and I’ll update on Monday:
Liverpool vs CSKA Moscow – although Liverpool are "away" tonight, CSKA Moscow are not playing at home so no bet for this match.
Spurs vs Chelsea – lay Spurs at 5.50 (best price 4/1)
Gillingham vs Forest – lay Gills at 2.52 (best price 6/5)
Newcastle vs Man Utd – lay Newcastle at 7.40 (best price 5/1)
Wednesday 24th August 2005
Debrecen vs Man Utd – lay Debrecen at 7.60 (best price 13/2)
a bit of a dangerous match to lay the home team given that Utd can lose and still go through a la Liverpool last night but again, it’s a qualifier so it’s a bet/lay/whatever
Sunday 21st August 2005
Couldn’t post today but I think Chelsea were available to lay at 2.20 last night (somebody correct me if I’m wrong) so I’ll update the results on that basis

I’m also going to keep records for backing these in staggered doubles (to lose 1 pt) – i.e – each game potentially contains 2 seperate bets, the 2nd leg of 1 double (assuming the 1st leg is a winner) and the 1st leg of another double. I hope that is clear. It is in my head anyway.
Sunday 14th August 2005
Wigan vs Chelsea – lay Wigan at 18.00 (best price 14/1)
Given the historical tendency of promoted teams to do quite well on the first day (if memory serves), the bet of the match is probably to lay Chelsea (@ 1.31) but as the match falls under the system rules, it has to be included so hopefully Wigan don’t win today or the rest of the system will be spent chasing today’s losses.
I’m going to lay the teams at the BF price because it’s far in excess of best price +10% and more realistic. So it’s whatever price I can get while I’m at the computer. I’ll keep a record of the best price as well but I’m not computing results for that as well. I’ll levae the first match as is.

Qualifiers today
Everton vs Man Utd – lay Everton at 6.20 (best price 4/1)
M’boro vs Liverpool – lay Boro at 3.30 (bp 2/1)
Swindon vs Forest – lay Swindon at 3.45 (bp 9/5) – this is an incredible price difference of 0.65 of a pt
I’ll update results tomorrow evening
