Has anybody noticed that the Sky Sports Racing commentary on the Lincoln has been overridden?Having enthusiastically and adamantly called Oliver Show the winner in the original, has now been updated reflecting Godwinson’s charge. A lesson for Commentators perhaps.

Thank you VTC for again running the competition. It’s without doubt my favourite and I long for the phrase, ‘now that the Arc has been & gone’.
Very much appreciate the hard work that goes into it – stupidly I thought I had a chance after Cheltenham.

I saw Stage Star mentioned, but he will not go right handed. Nicholls has stated he must go left handed as he hangs. Suspect therefore we’ll continue to see him regularly at Cheltenham. Like the idea they may step him up to 3 miles as well. 66/1 for the Gold Cup, but I’m dreaming now (I own a toe-nail).

Despite his win in the Turners, I still find Stage Star difficult to weigh up. He is prone to throw in a duff one though each time he has had excuses. His last two runs at Cheltenham have been excellent and the form reads well. Unexpected Party is 9 lb better off for 8 1/2l on their latest showing against each other (2-0 to SS). Datsalrightgino and Notlongtillmay don’t seem to be getting enough off Stage Star in my book, for their defeats last season though it was the novice season for each so improvement may reasonably be expected. Still early days, but other than the favourite, I like the look of the Skelton’s Galia Des Liteaux in receipt of 10lb from Stage Star at 14/1.
