Thanks to all that used the poll… but I think I need to try a different approach. If anyone has any knowledge on how to market something I would appreciate some pointers in the right direction :)

    I presume this system will
    be free to TRF members?

    Hi…

You presume correct but if I can’t get people to respond to the questions I would like clearing up by using the polls I doubt I will ever get the release done. I want to release what is wanted not what I want to release if you get my point.

With respect Caledon, your questions do not make sense. The answer should be whichever strike rate is better than average price.

lol.. there is no "answer" I was just trying to gauge peoples preference.

Obviously any method I would be advising would be based on the criteria that the average price of the winner /strike rate would be a profitable one both at level stakes and any other betting method. Sorry I just assumed everyone would have assumed I would have taken that as a must. :)

    Hi Nathan…

Thanks for using the poll and your reply.

    You say:

On the whole I go for shorter odds with a higher strike rate although I do take into consideration whether or not the short price is worthy or as Ginger would spout the percentage bit

What would you consider as a shorter odds / higher strike rate?

And, whilst I remember, who said that I was a ex Blackjack player, or a Blackjack player in a previous life. To clear things up… I still am and will continue to be so long after I give up on horseracing.

By that I thought you meant you have not been an ex-Black Jack player and have always been a Black Jack Player. No "assumption" made on my part mate, just taking it from what you wrote.

Your posts are full of apparrent contradictions.

Now you say you had given up on Black Jack too and now going back to it.

    Mark

Seriously, you guys are not really this thick are you. It’s plain bloody english just read and digest before jumping in with both feet and looking stupid.

If you would just read what I write before trying to make a huge conspiracy theory this thread would have closed ages ago and become a lot more interesting with it’s follow on.

Sorry about that but all I meant was that the person questioning my knowledge relies on his holy grail of FORM and is insistent that he knows what he is talking about, I, on the other hand, rely on my holy grail of MATHEMATICS, and, with a degree in the subject, think I know my subject.

Take him away m"lud, this guys a FRAUD!!

Taken completely out of context… as usual. But if you want to be literal then my "holy grail" is MATHEMATICS not my METHOD, or system as you keep refering to it.

You will have to try a LOT harder than that me thinks!

So if you are a still a successful professional Black Jack player Caledon, why is your bank dwindling? Why do you need to go back to horse racing? I presume you made the decision to give up the horses at some point, to concentrate on the profession making most money, Black Jack.

    Hi Mark,

Please just stop, please….. stop making assumptions!

Let’s try and put this down finally… I played Blackjack and invested in my method for horseracing, I made some money, I then decided to take a break, my bank account started to decline [no income coming in], I then decided to re-start my career. That will involve playing Blackjack and investing in horseracing again. Is that clear now?

Please, don’t think I am writing you off as a crank. It is just from all you’ve said so far it seems more likely than a pro gambler.

You could have fooled me :x

You quite sure about that? or are your contradictions catching up with you!

Absolutely and if I’m wrong then post with a quote where I said it… ah sorry, you can’t use that function properly. Well just post anyway.

Why are you doing this to yourself. You are alienating yourself from everyone in the forum by telling us how good a system you have but "I am not giving it to you bunch of scruff"

I will start to talk about what I do when I stop getting sh*t thrown at me and if it comes my way it’s coming back. I tried to reason objectively but if it’s just a slagging match then I’m up for that as well.

Ken’s a decent guy and anything but a dick mate and you won’t make friends here by calling him one.

If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck then, disregarding probability, it probably is a duck!

So if you are not here to make new friends why are you here?. Pro gambler my hairy backside more like a pro blshttr!

Eplained that a hundred times and back at ya bucky!

Caledon. likes to tell everyone he"s found the "holy grail" to horse racing success, but wont tell anyone what it is! !

Nowhere have I mentioned anything about a "holy grail"!

All that has come from you and your friends on here. I have a method that works and that is all I have said. I have quoted Strike Rate and ROI nothing more. You and your friends have created the myth of the "holy grail" not I. If you have a question about how I work then ask don’t just jerk your friends egos off by siding in with them.

And, whilst I remember, who said that I was a ex Blackjack player, or a Blackjack player in a previous life. To clear things up… I still am and will continue to be so long after I give up on horseracing.

You have given no indication of revealing your past successes. Just one example of what, when and where might allay the doubts as to your credentials and professionalism.

I have, to the people who responded with polite reasoning. They will know exactly where my bet was today, maybe not exactly why, but they will no where and I am trying to help them understand why.

Surely, your first venture into pro-gambling was a significant and memorable moment in your life? How did your family react to your new occupation might be informative as to whether or not we have the genuine article?

As I have explained before, the act itself is completely emotionless for me, it was then and it is now. And, please don’t misconstrue this as that I have no interest in racing whatsoever, because I do, especially the spectacles of the bigger events. It was emotionless because I knew I was right and it remains the case today, albeit with a few minor modificaions over the years. My family are fully supportive because I have proved myself capable and of course they enjoy the benefits. My wife is a fully qualified Anthropologist and has her own income stream.

Finally, as you profess to be a mathematician here is a question that will have you stumped:

If it takes a new member five minutes to weave a web of deceit,
How long would it take the same person to reveal the truth?

There ya go, ya just had to go and spoil it by being a dick

    Hi All,

I will be restarting my pro-gambling career on the 1st May after a five year lay-off, this has been dictated due to my dwindling bank account and complete boredom …. I miss my old way of life.

And you wonder why so many can see straight through you, your very first line speaks volumes!

I’m baffled… I have a degree in maths not bullshit. Can you please explain your reasoning here and, if you are going to use the quote function please learn to use it properly

    Ethan,

Your ability to come up with tosh is amazing… now there is only one person with the same username. You truly are a fool. You should get a job with the Met, I hear that’s their style too… fit him up whatever the cost.

I fully understand the "Kelly Criterion" in fact my dissertation covered it in quite some detail. I also understand fully, the "odds-algorithm" or "Bruss-algorithm", the Poisson process and many other mathematical functions you couldn’t even start to process in your tiny mind.

I also fully understand what True Odds are as opposed to Bookmakers odds, but then I doubt the person questioning me about it fully understands why. A little knowledge in the hand of idiot is a dangerous thing.

If you want to start a discussion on higher probability, or on any gambling/mathematics related subject, then feel free, I would love to share your seemingly vast knowledge and why not get Gingertipster to join you as he seems to be an expert.

If Caledon is strictly a systems bettor, with little-to-no interest in horse-racing as a sport – and his system is not one he intends to share freely with others – then what is left for him to discuss on what is, after all, a horse-racing forum??

What I would have discussed is the differences between how I approach things and how others do. With a few seeds for thought thrown in and hopefully a little research producing good questions/answers a true path to "enlightenment" would have followed. :)

But hey ho…. back to my own little fantasy world where I seem to live according to others.

If I shared my methods "freely with others", and I certainly could without any prejudice to how I operate, what would I get in return, more abuse?

More than likely I guess, certainly not any warm fuzzy feeling of having done a good deed. Good deeds come to those who deserve them or work hard for them.

If it is you who can close this thread then please do as I have no further interest in it but have to reply as manners suggest and keep getting dragged back to a debate that is proving futile.
