Hi All…
I would love your help in finalising a system that I am due to launch soon. Please complete the poll below. I will be posting several questions over the next few weeks. The aim is to gather data on what people actually want from a system in today’s market.
April 25, 2013 at 13:03 #437338Good luck Caledon…..

On the whole I go for shorter odds with a higher strike rate although I do take into consideration whether or not the short price is worthy or as Ginger would spout the percentage bit. I would also try and get a few at bigger odds but mostly as an Ante post situation where I think the price will be shorter come the day.
Also you might find that more people would use the poll if you poster it in the main board ‘Horse Racing’ section as not many members venture down these parts ‘systems’ as it’s known as ward 7 ‘the loony bin’ as the likes of Billion, MrE and Matron are very funny looking. So you could have more interest on the main board.

Thanks for using the poll and your reply.
You say:

What would you consider as a shorter odds / higher strike rate?
Regards
April 26, 2013 at 09:27 #437449I focus mainly on group races on the Flat. I would back a horse I fancied at any price I thought reasonable but in the main it probably varies between evens – 4/1 which I would class as short odds, a higher strike rate for me would be anything better than the odds bet so if I’m betting at evens I would want a better than 50% S/R over a period of time. I post all my flat bets in the daily lays and plays section of the forum under ‘Wealth Warning’ if you would like to take a look. I don’t consider myself a pro and bet roughly to a £10 stake so although I will never win bucket loads I wont lose a lot either.
