    Agreed.

12/1 just looks a tempter for mug punters to latch onto without having done the research.

Write off Raven’s Pass at your peril I think..

off Raven’s Pass at your peril I think..

    Okay, done that. What now?

Figure out why DOM is a massive 5 points longer with Ladbrokes than HTN, even though the former is J Murtagh’s choice and proven at the distance, while most other firms have them priced more or less equally?

Because the Ladbrokes traders are doing their famous "industry shuffle".

I can’t believe Soldier Of Fortune will be suited to this very tight track on quick ground. He looks very good lay material for me.

Don’t give either of them much of a chance. Giants Causeway, Galileo, Sakhee, Hawk Wing, George W, the list of our best turf horses unable to get it done in the BC Classic grows and grows.

It seems Coolmore are desperate to win a Classic – would it make such a difference to win a Classic over say a Turf or a Mile? I suppose it must do, or they wouldn’t bother.

Completely irrelevant as it is on a different surface this time around and therefore a totally different race.

People who think she will fail becaus she’s up against the males you are completley insane or ridiculously stupid. The time she recorded last time out has only been seen by Rail Link and your telling me that its not the quickest horse who gets around the track its the one whos most coltish.. if thats true then be prepared to do your dosh.

    Mr Wilson,

The time achieved LTO was mainly due to a suicidal early pace. I don’t think anyone is in doubt that she is a high class filly but there are plenty of question marks? She hasn’t really been asked a question yet and this is a very tough looking field to line up against with some real battle hardened colts.

If she can repeat her Vermeille performance and pounce late on the outside, she may not know she’s had a race. And if you are on at fancy prices then you can enjoy the race.

For me, she looks a win and place lay, especially if she gets any shorter.

Spacious for me E/W at a bigger price.

Targeted at the race since Royal Ascot. Should be spot on for today.

Think the race could be run to suit Tamayaz more than the other big two and am surprised to see him as big as 2/1 now. Will also be be backing his pacemaker who’s 100/1+ odds are insulting considering the form he brings to the table.

I would expect Tamayuz to drift even further tomorrow. It wouldn’t even be the biggest surprise to me if Raven’s Pass went off 2nd Fav on the day!!

Thats not to say he won’t win of course. Just an opinion on his likely SP.

It would be great to see Rainbow View continue her progress impressively here.

I will go for Brief Candle at a big price to chase her home.

    Thanks, Grass.

Tidal Bay looks like he’ll be a better horse over two miles-four, so I’d target him at the Old Roan chase for his seasonal debut.

Depending on his effort that day, Howard Johnson will probabaly know what direction his horse will take for the season.

We know he’s a brilliant 2 miler so why would they start messing about in distance without testing the water against MM first?

I think Howard would want to know and he will be out to take on MM asap.
It would be really stupid not to at least try.

Master Minded has the potential of being the best horse seen on a racecourse since you know who. Albeit over 2 miles.

The fact remains he was stuffed at Aintree wheras Tidal Bay was brilliant.

If they take on MM early and are beaten then they know exactly where they stand and then and only then I would expect him to be stepped up in distance. Much depends on the owner I suppose but they were contemplating taking him on at Aintree and never. I don’t think they will make that mistake again.

    Fist of Fury,

I believe TIDAL BAY will go for the Ryanair.

The biggest effect on this will be liquidity, as the major firms (who pump millions) through the site will no longer do so as it is not now financially viable.

A massive own goal for Betfair.
