Great to see War Of Attrition continue on the comeback trail with an easy success in a rather facile contest at Thurles today. He’s some jumper of a fence in full flight.

Would be nice if he could develop into a realistic alternative in the Gold Cup. Would imagine either the Durkan or the Lexus will be next on the agenda if the leg is 100% in the morning.

on attheraces they highlighted some of his jumps he was 1 length down at one of the fences but absolutley winged it and jumped into lead, great comeback just hopes he stays in one piece dont think he can trouble the PN horses but good to see him back..

Too good for a Grade 1 race? If you are saying the QMCC and the CGC hold far greater prestige, i agree with you. Tidal Bay still has to prove he’s too good for Cheltenam Grade 1 yet mind.

ha ha ya know what i mean  …… But i would rather see him in either of the races you mention..

I thought Tidal Bays run at Aintree was really eye catching, cause as he was aimed for Cheltenham to keep him going for the Aintree race where he clouted a couple of fences fairly hard still won and as a novice to boot, is he deffo being amied at the Rynair? cause he seems to be far to good for that race??

really looking forward to see him this season

It would be nice to see new approach come back to his best to win this but at his price and after his last two runs he cant be a real bet.

AOBs Hebridean might be a bet out of hope but think I’ll have a go on him.

yes was thinking that myself his form has been franked by Conduit winning the ledger after his 3rd place i still reckon NA to win but see what price is in the next few hours

Completely agree, batman…………………and you don’t have to be Irish to appreciate him – he was a great horse.

sorry if that came off wrong it’s just that he did not race much in England and the coverage of Irish racing on Tv was not great when he was winning nearly every week and he even beat the great istabraq in the Hattons Grace was 2nd in the stayers on good to firm which he did not race to his best on and was 3rd in same race which was his last ever run in that great race between Baracouda & Iris Gift it’s also a credit to the Bowes training who have had similar results with solerina etc…

I reckon most will have a bet on Inglis just in the hope he gets number 4, can Lough Derg find the vast improvement needed or will Black Jack Ketcham rise from the depths to shock us all???? i think Kasbah Bliss can go very close but my heart hopes it’s the drever

Have to say i am bit shocked espes from the Irish folks on here that LIMESTONE LAD has not got that many mentions his stats are….

    HURDLE: 55 RUNS 31 wins 11 2nd’s 4 3rd’s

    CHASE: 6 RUNS 4 wins 1 2nd

    FLAT: 4 RUNS 0 wins 1 2nd 2 3rd’s

He has to be one of the most genuine honest hardest working Horse’s of all time, its just sad he never got the ground he thrived on at the festival what a servant………

And here the photofinish in a large version of the decisive part (the "complete" version taken from the france-galop-page):

    http://www.bilder-upload.eu/show.php?fi … uXUe06.png

It’s Gino in front of SoF – it was a bad day for the French stewards.

I heard about it taking so long for them to announce 3rd place by that picture it does not seem that hard to pick it, bad call i see the connections have appealed the decision and rightly so…
