With the talk from this time last year been of the clash between Kauto Star and Denman being kept apart until the Gold Cup because they came from the same stable. What are the plans for the forthcoming season of the 2 Nicky Henderson 2 mile hurdlers Binocular and Punjabi. Will they run against each other before the champion hurdle of will they be kept apart on different paths before cheltenham. So would nicky henderson might even have to consider running one of them in the odd race in Ireland such as the AIG in order to keep them apart. I am looking forward to the seeing top class 2 mile hurdlers for a change which fianlly fills the void left after istabraq retired.

in fairness the void has not been that bad sure there has been a little lack of class but still there have been some great races in the CH

I think you are right, with Punjabi having such a good record in Ireland he’ll probably go over there. The irish don’t look to have such a good lot of hurdlers this season.

Sizzing Europe has a lot to prove now but will be difficult to beat if returning to form.

    Jared has excellant potential.

But the rest don’t look up to good grade 1 races.

There are so many options these days it is easier to keep horses apart until Cheltenham.

Nicky Henderson is not PN and there is no question of keeping them apart. That decision he leaves to the owners and both are parantly up for a head to head.

They are destined to meet in the Fighting Fifth hurdle and then it will be decided which path’s they take from there.

Binocular will of course win  and Punjabi will probably go for the Tote Gold Trophy again.
