sean, spot on, whats happening?
must dash to lingers.
ginger, its not bookies leading the price reduction, most of them are following exchange moves, 3.7 into 2.4 on-course bookies just re-act.
most of em anyway.
totally agree with all, as I bet on most races daily, home and away, my son and I have been scratching heads recently, late market moves on exchanges (last 2 minutes) see horses price dramatically collapse before winning,
these are horses that have been trading for hours at a steady price, then just before off 3/1 into 5/4. 7/2 into 7/4, WHY? is it lack of liquidity? or collusion ?
I could do with a lot of help from someone successful with a good brain,
Know anyone?
£20 billion turnover betfair= £5Million levy
£20 billion turnover big 3/4= £200 million levy
lets return to 8% govt. tax turnover + 1% levy
OK Paul, done the first 2 paras. give up, still haven’t met an interviewee, interviewee dont look right?
phil, who watches the morning line, about 400,000 compared to , ATR 40,000 peak times, 30.000 Racing UK.
BTW, how do they guesstimate viewing figures?
somebody suggested they asked a 1000 people their opinions,
never met one of these 1000, has anyone?
matron, I have no knowledge of who does what, never ask,
but, Nick Luck has presented several morning line programmes recently, or are we only talking afternoon shows?
An idea that wouldn’t suit me, and is probably full of holes, but, if the big 3 gave a tenner a shop 6000×10 == £60K a night to kempton/turf tv, they could race whenever.
Robert , talking to Rob Waterhouse last week ascot, oz on-course worse than ours.
"turnover tax on winning days" cant get me head round that, cant work.
Wit, brief reminder please, why aren’t exchanges giving a vatable service.
is that right vatable looks wrong?
yeats, must have been unusual that the 20 odd tracks I have been unlucky to attend without bookmakers were very poorly attended,
one exception happy valley, probably because they only race twice a week
yes, simples, tote monopoly, 25% deductions, empty racecourses, tracks wont be too happy.
dont know how or intend to log on to the site which enables us to vote,
why are results published in percentages, presumably numbers of voters would make it embarrassing,
Mr Wilson, Matthew, Let them have their day,
on the betting side, whats the betting whose the most successful on the year,my odds,
barry dennis no offers
john mcCririck 1000/1matt chapman 1000000000000000000/1
were all good friends really
as g/whyte said, more to it than meets the eye.
" with betfair and various racing forums allowing freedom of speech to clients who HIDE BEHIND A PSEUDONYM"
interpret that how you choose.
Using Jock McCartney as an example, when he was warned off all licenced operators refused his wagers, if that was only by choice so be it, as far as on-course bookmakers ,warned off people cannot enter race-courses or do business with them under bha rules,
BTW didn’t see much wrong with g;whyte posts why banned ? seemed to know HF and associates as well as any on here.
BTW HF’s letter in RP says he’s sick of anonymous people on chat rooms passing comment they know **** all about.
