I tip my hat to all concerned here.

Its nice to see someone taking a bit of initiative and thinking outside the box.

I have to side with the No vote here.

As quoted from below why hold the World Cup in South Africa, when you could hold it in the USA?

In fact i think its a ridiculous suggestion. Tradition is something racing should (and does to an extent) be using in its ammunition to attract new fans.

I agree. They have staff on the payroll so why not use them to create decent preview programmes.

Or at least they could offer a more varied repeat archive. Each time i flick on its the same race.

Obviously this is a depicable act and clearly one of some considerable menace.

But as others have mentioned i think it was clearly a man acting out of desperation and i doubt there was ever any real threat. The fact he used his own mobile and email really points to a lack of intelligence.

It reminds me of these criminals who do such crazy things as robbing a shop of all their scratchcards and then going back to the same place to cash in any winnings!

That said, he should in my opion have been locked up for a period of time as a suspended sentence only makes it seem that little more acceptable when it really is not in any way.

A superb racehorse that has left us all with such fabulous memories.

I believe credit is due to all connected not only for his racing years but also making this decision and allowing the star to enjoy his retirement.

My tuppence worth on all of this is that really a tissue is only an opinion. Fair enough it may be the opinion of an expert (if you believe that to be the case) but its still based on heresay, form factors etc etc.

As we all know there is nothing that will ever accurately be able to evaluate every single aspect and come out with the winner. Instead machines or individuals use logic to create their forecast.

A value bet can really only be judged when the creator of that tissue price/forecast (or someone who really believes in its worth) is comparing it to the actual price available.

So yes if your getting 2/1 on what you believe is an Evens money shot then over the course of time you shall come out on top. But the most important thing here is are you sure the horse really does have an Even money chance??

Surely if people feel it is beneficial to them to share their workings and are not in any way spamming or causing a nuisance, there is no harm in publishing their thoughts?

I agree with you in some ways but overall, i feel forums such as this are designed to cater to anyone interested in the sport we all love. The fact we all disagree so much is what makes it fun.

If your not interested – just ignore.

    Well thats my attitude anyway!

A far more formulated approach would be very beneficial as far as im concerned.

It should not be the case that trainers are left bewildered or delighted at the handicappers discretion, instead it should be an understood acceptance of the amendment due to occur.

I guess any such system is more wishful thinking though.
