I agree entirely with dvds2000’s post . Referring back to Gareth’s post and to that of dvds2000 the opportunity to remove your details fromthe database must be given as sign up did not include any Data Protection Act permission to disclose such details ( certainly when I signed up )

Anyway , good luck to all of you in finding a solution that suits.

Quote: from dvds2000 on 11:18 pm on July 17, 2006[br]I can’t believe this thread has turned out to be a thread where people are just slagging others off.

Debbie hasn’t even said if she wants to sell or give the site away, and TBH I’m sure she has more important things to be dealing with without having to go through pages of arguments.

If she decides to sell it (to Ian or whoever) then that is her decision and I’m sure everyone will be given the chance to remove their details from the database if required before anything happens.

If she gives it away then the same applies, but I’m sure it’s something she can decide without a thread like this.

There’s already been people saying they will either buy it or take it over and run it, so why not leave all the rumours and bitching until something is announced.<br>

May I just add my condolences . Many people seemed to think that TRF and TH were at daggers drawn but it has never been like that at all – a very many people are members of both forums . I have always thought that they complemented each other.

Whenever I had on the rare occasion any need to contact Craig , sometimes about wronguns that were plaguing both forums he was unfailingly helpful .

Reading all your tributes has been a moving experience and I wish you all the best and especially condolences to his family at what is an unspeakably awful time .

When Alan Morgan died we found the raceday we had to remember  him an enjoyable and poignant occasion out of which a lot of forum members got a great deal and I would recommend it . It is a fitting tribute to people like Alan and Craig that are at the centre of forum communities and do so much hard work for the pleasure of the rest of us.

Absolutely . irisgift1 tells us that his injury has not affected the horse , if so the fact remains that his form is 2st better over hurdles than over fences and his 2004 Stayers Hurdle win is rated 9lb higher than this year’s winner .

I can understand entirely having a Gold Cup dream with a horse of such innate ability but not in the face of the falls and his much inferior form over fences .

Excellent and stimulating stuff from Lydia – but that is hardly a surprise.

What terrible news and so young . His postings were always worth reading .

Sincere condolences to his family and friends

Can I also send condolences to you all at TRF  from everyone at Talkinghorses. We have some idea of how you are all feeling after Alan Morgan’s death last year.

    All the best

It is no surprise,  most of his articles seem to be ill-researched leading to half baked opinions . What is most worrying is that this is from their leading feature writer . I don’t particularly warm to David Ashforth but his articles do at least seem to be based on proper research .

What a shame the editor of the RP does not star rate their articles . I doubt Haigh would ever get past selling plater

It will be interesting to see how big the field is but Benbyas is said to be a certain runner so we should get a good gallop

I would stop now before you give it all back jilly.

Nixer – are you not deliberately ignoring the obvious . The lack of pace in the gallop for the Booster’s two defeats

My thoughts exactly Mo – he would have hacked up and be 7-4

Daylight how can you base that on the evidence of the runs this season ?

The Booster ran much better today despite again there being no real pace as they ignore dthe leader . Johnson gave him a shocker of a ride .

As for Rc – once again he impressed off a slow pace over 2m 4f for heaven’s sake .

If Solerina goes off like the clappers and he can do that to her then there will be some evidence to support him winning on the bridle . Who knows ? We could see her run him into the ground

The entries for the Christmas hurdle suggest that there will be pace in the race but after four winners in the two days before the Bula Hobbs’s horses have been running very badly again this week . I cannot believe that was Widemouth Bay’s real form for a start so that is a real worry .

I would rather him at 9-2 than Rc at 5-2 anyday

Gus there is a much more sensible appraisal from Eddie The Shoe in the Observer and on their website .

I can only assume that they knew he was not 100% fit and that is why Johnson did not repeat last year’s tactics when he went on at the top of the hill due to the slow pace
