Now we all know if Master minded turns up at Cheltenham in the same form he has done for the last 2 years,he wins!

If Well Chief turns up at Cheltenham fit & well then Master Minded is no certainty.

I wish that they could get Tom Durkin back for the commentary of the Breeders Cup. He used to really heighten the excitement of the races and he is really badly missed in my opinion. Trevor Denman just doesn’t come close.

I think Well Chief is entitled to improve for his first run of the season as well. He won with a bit in hand today and I think he’ll still be a major force to be reckond with this season off level weights.

Absolutely delighted to see Well Chief back in the winning enclosure, he travelled great throughout and really deserved the victory. Hopefully he can have an injury free season and another crack at the Champion Chase.

The Tingle Creek Chase could be a real cracker with Well Chief, Master Minded & Kalahari King possibly facing each other.

    Don’t forget Big Zeb[/quote

I’m not sure whether Big Zeb will be coming over to run in the Tingle Creek, that’s why I didn’t mention him. :)

I don’t think the Tingle Creek would be the ideal race for the horse either as his dodgy jumping would be tested severly around Sandown.

It would be magnificent if Well Chief did win tomorrow after all of the injury problems the horse has had over the last few years. I know that there’s people who feel Master Minded is in a different league to WC but I don’t buy that and never have done. On his form from the 2004/2005 season when he was mixing it with Moscow Flyer & Azertyuiop – Well Chief would be a major threat to Master Minded in any of the major 2m chases in my opinion. I hope he will still be able to run up to that kind of form because it would certainly make the 2m division more interesting this season.

Well Chief will be a a major threat to all in the main 2m chases this season if he can avoid injury.

Just a reminder of how great Well Chief, Azertyuiop & Moscow Flyer were. :)

I would say he’s the best 2m chaser never to win the Champion Chase. I hope we do get to see him this coming season. At his best he’d be a major threat to Master Minded but after all of his injury problems it will be a surprise if we’ll ever see him reproduce the form he showed against Azertyuiop & Moscow Flyer.

I really hope he gets to take his chance in the Breeders Cup Classic. On the synthetic surface he’d have an outstanding chance. There’s nothing in America being aimed at the Classic that See The Stars couldn’t beat imo.
Even if Rachel Alexandra was turning up I’d still fancy his chances to beat her.

I guess his participation at the Breeders Cup is down to how he performs in the Arc, which he’ll probably run in as long as the ground isn’t too soft.

I hope See The Stars retains his form through to the Breeders Cup as I think he’d have a strong chance in the Classic. The synthetic surface shouldn’t be a problem, the distance (1m 2f) is perfect and he has the ideal relaxed temperament to not be fazed with all of the proceedings before the race.
Looking at the potential opposition there’s no reason why STS can’t have as good a chance of winning as anything else.

Exotic Dancer looked back to his best last time out and unlike last year it looks like he’s had a trouble free preparation for the race. I think he’s got a major chance today.

Well Chief has to be one of the best 2m chasers never to win a Champion Chase. My heart was pounding throughout the whole race, at the top of the hill I thought WC had a real chance but he just lost touch running down the hill. What a performance from the horse and a magnificent training feat by the Pipe team.
