Rummy is off for another spin round Hexham on Saturday lets hope the rain stops other wise he turns in to a brown horse !
Thank you so much we are pleased he has so much stamina and scope keeping fingers crossed for him

Angrove Rumbaba is 87.5% TB he is 7/8th TB his sire was by a registered tb stallion but the breeder registered him as a sports horse so his breeding the breeding is unrecorded as far as Wetherbys are concerned but the sire Ricco use to belong to me and his passport was from a Weatherbys passport and was registered with Scottish Sports Horse. Ricco Is Angrove Rumbabas sire and he is 3/4 TB 75% Riccos dam was a cross bred by and out of two half breds the TBs being flying Bee a four times winner and placed horse 10 times sire of four advanced eventers and racehorses the other sire of Zhivago is Top Hat a winner of 6 races and also a sire of advanced eventers and racehorses
I do think the bone is very much needed in jumpers and it has not done any harm to Angrove Rumbaba
Please excuse any bad grammer or spelling mistakes I am badly dyslexicVery Proud of Rummy and his Jockey Rebecca they came home 4th making him the higest place Painted /Coloured racehorse in the UK we are just pleased hes proved it can be done with the right trainer and jockey.

Thank you both! Yes it must have quiet a dissapointment for connections thank fully Rummy is bred very differently to the Lethal Frame Overos Horses, he has a lot more bone and has jumps breeding on his sires side, advanced eventers in the sires family. if it works and he holds his own I shall be more then happy
First race Hexham at 5pm 23rd of April 2012
Really sad to report that Angrove rumbaba is not going to race on the flat this year he jsut is not fast enought to be a sprinter we are going to have him gelded as it will give him a much better quaility of life and hes going to have a holiday and then come back next season as a four year old and we will see if he has the staminer to make it as a hurdler as he can jump really well.
Thanks for all the support this far its been a steep learning curve and maybe I should have done this in the first place saved myself a lot of hassle not to mention money!Sorry my internet has been down for a week so apologies for not responding thank you for such encouragement.
Patch as hes known by at his yard, has been very carefully brought on by Paul Midgley and his team, I am blown away by our horse! and how he has been trained by Paul! and all his team they are a great group of folkes and so friendly they have looked after our wonderful syndicate members with care and good care!and we have had two great visits to the yard and one to see Patch on Malton gallops.

Lets hope he can give them plenty of it on the race track!http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/hh441/angrovestud/Patch/sept-1.jpg
photo from last year.
Angrove rumbaba will now debut in 2011 we were advised this morning that he really needed a couple more weeks of training, and we have run out of races for him and as hes young paul did not want to ruin him, if he had not had to have the last week of july off and three weeks of August he perhaps would have made it on the track this year.
I think Rummy on his passport has Painted Skewbald, as Weatherbys now use the term Painted so we fall into line with the US,
Its perhaps difficult to describe when writing, dont you think? As in "my horse of colour" when you just say "coloured" technically it should be my pattened horse! or my Tobiano horse and not many people would know what was being said,
but then I dont want to get to technicalPompete
Thank you glad you like the photos, Angrove rumbaba name is now official colours arrived here this morning and I will let everyone know soon where and when.
hes learning his job well and is very well behaved and an easy ride.updated photos on 9/10/10 overtaking Lava steps on the gallops
