I hope Grands Crus runs in the Gold Cup he is a natural over the fences and he has enough experience. It looks like a Gold Cup for the taking but the only doubt that I would have is if he will get 3m 2f around Cheltenham.
I would really fancy Folsom Blue if he runs in the maiden hurdle in Limerick on the 29th of December
Giles Cross is my selection. Ran very well in the race last year and only put up 4lbs for his last win and I think that is very lenient. Only running off a 4lb higher mark than this race last year aswell.
Its hard to pick the winner. I like Overturn but wouldn’t be completely confident about his chances. Im not sure Rock On Ruby will have enough speed for 2 miles around Kempton and Binocular has been struggling since winning this last year. Sanctuaire might have a chance but I think he needs Ruby to be riding him though.
I think Rubi Light could be the one to beat. He is the best jumper in the race but he isn’t definite to get the 3 miles. He is improving and he should improve from the Durkan chase.
I think Master Minded could be well up to winning this race as he is the best jumper in the race and this will be very important over 3 miles in Kempton and he could also have too much speed for the likes of Kauto Star at this stage of his career and Long Run.
