I’m really wanting to bet West To The Bridge in this, so once there are prices available I’ll have an ap bet on him. I’m sure that there’s a race on day 3 of the meeting that he could be entered for too, but I’ll probably just take a chance when I can get a bet on for this

50’s Kris if you want it. Skelton has a few likely looking contenders in here, and Kateira appeals, but 50’s is 50’s, and that looks wrong to me, so I’ve joined you.

Zanndabad is my main hope here, but he’s already got two entries and the ground will surely be against him, so no appeal Antepost. One for Final Decs.

There’s about a dozen here appealing, and particularly interested in Kings Hill too, so reluctantly one to wait with for a second go, but certainly happy to nab that 50’s on West To The Bridge.

    Theatre Man

A lad i know never shut up about this horse for weeks before Cheltenham, i had a look on the morning of the race but never bothered thankfully. I think quite a few people got their fingers burnt on him given how short he started for it.

You can see why people thought he was a few pounds well in for that and off 133 back over hurdles on soft ground could be a cracking ew bet.

After ‘that’ race at Bangor the other week is West to the Bridge one of Skelton’s plot jobs?

Kateira & Champagne Twist for me.

Kateira is one of my big fancies of the week. She finished just behind Irish Point in a G1 at the meeting last year and had the likes of:
    Hermes Allen
    Crambo
    You Wear It Well
    Springwell Boy
    Letsbeclearaboutit

All behind her. She’s obviously been kept for the race and her prep under De Boinville last time was promising.

    CHAMPAGNE TWIST 12/1 6 places

Always risky with a novice but worth a punt in a tricky puzzle. 3rd in the EBF final at Sandown has since won an ‘arf decent race in open company. Trainer ticking along nicely.

With West To The Bridge not running, I was going to sit this out, but I’ll split my cash with What’s Up Darling, and Serious Operator. He was thankfully smaller Antepost, and I’ll keep this pair fairly modest too.

    Cashed out

Ended up going with Sonigino. Given them pulling White Rhino on Saturday, I am not thinking charitable thoughts about Making Headway who has been well supported.

    First time hood on inthewaterside

If it works and he doesn’t pull as hard he could make a mockery of his mark of 129

He lost the race before it had even started last time and only got beat 2 lengths giving 8lb to pic roc who finished second in the ebf final next time

This could easily be a graded chaser in the making running off 129, but he has to stop running his race backwards

I’ll be playing Spirit d’aunou to small stakes. Moore thinks he’s very very useful and he was progressive until running a stinker in the betfair.

Probably still handicapped to the hilt but this is a much weaker race than anything he’s been running in of late.

Playful Saint at 50s is lightly raced and near enough a winning mark
Icare Allen at 33s – back in trip and can’t be as bad as the run at Cheltenham – this track suits better

    Kendicate,

Icare Allen has been switched from Mullins to Jonjo’s yard. Like going from Chocolate to Brussels Sprouts.

I’m having two shots at this. Kateira 5-1, and Sonigino 20-1

Uncle Bert seems to have clicked over hurdles and although this is tougher he’s my pick.

The more I know the less I understand.
