Racing UK replay up the shoot yet again – do they have a technical team? Hardly a week goes by without any problems.
Bet365 now charging £1 a race
.
No they are not. Why say that ?
Apologies, you are right I was quoting the figure for a live race. For those who might struggle to negotiate the site you need to go through Bet365extra and archive – currently you will only get the two races from Newbury that are on RacingUK
October 9, 2009 at 00:36 #252554I see RUK now do an archive which will take you back for this year at least
October 9, 2009 at 01:46 #252565Yep,let’s hope the missing races make an appearance in due course.
October 25, 2009 at 18:33 #255353Has anyone else been suffering problems with Racing UK replays today? Only the last race from each card today seem to be working. Missed lots of decent action though!
October 26, 2009 at 06:23 #255424Same problems here.
RUK’s replay service is getting more frustrating by the week.
Can’t somebody there fix it?

It used to be a very reliable service, until they decided to switch to the dreaded adobe embedded player.
February 27, 2010 at 14:36 #14243Why Can’t RUK Presenters Fill The Time Between Races?
Surely it is not beyond them – it is only 20 minutes? I have lost track of the number of times that Sandown preview has been advertised.
February 27, 2010 at 19:46 #279535Could it be something to do with giving time for their sponsers? Does someone sponser the Sandown gig?

I know there was some sort of Blue Square competition and you are constantly bombarded with their adverts but not sure whether they also sponsor the preview.
There must be plenty of opportunity to plug it outside of the live programme.
February 27, 2010 at 21:53 #279554RUK have plenty (in fact with the exception of Gary O’Brien) possibly all the presenters capable of filling the time between races. It is only the commercial relationships hinted at above that impede this happy outcome.
This is quite a poor state of affairs for a subscription channel.February 28, 2010 at 11:55 #279637i wish i had the contract to supply RUK with tape machines as they must get through a few given that they show the same stuff over and over again
February 28, 2010 at 16:23 #279686Was the weather at Kempton life threatening today? I am just wondering why RUK have sent two presenters to the course just so they can waffle from indoors.
February 28, 2010 at 16:35 #279692RUK may be a subscription channel, but surely these boring adverts for their services and sponsers stuff; is a price worth paying.
If fewer people see these adverts (and subscribe) and / or there were no sponsers; then we would have to pay more theough subscription. When you see this type of thing, just think of the money it is saving you. Doesn’t seem so bad then, might even make you smile.

Think Dave Nevison hinted at that the other day (on camera).

This constant aural assault and battery to tout a service to which I’m already committed (like virtually everyone else watching) is one of two small beefs I’ve got against RUK at the moment.
The other is the fact that the Saturday "freeview" is too regularly covering the good, early races at main meetings just before terrestrial TV goes on air. In other words, every rag, tag and bobtail is getting for free the very races for which I’m paying my £20 p.m. subscription.
Bitter? Not me!
March 1, 2010 at 09:27 #279806I sympathise Pinza, and can certainly identify with "Beef #2"
Another issue for me is the countless days of a blank RUK screen in the past two months due to wether-related abandonments.
It would be nice if RUK would address the possibility of part-reimbursing the subsciptions paid by their loyal customers or extending some future credit for the loss of all these meetings. But somehow I cannot see it happening.Post-Aintree, I definitely shall be re-assessing my monthly commitment to the channel.
March 1, 2010 at 09:48 #279810In days gone by Ms. Hislop would have been on here fighting her and RUK’s corner but she doesn’t seem to look in these days!

Possibly there is no corner to fight. I think the Forum might just survive without ‘celebrity’ contributions.
