Less than a week to the off. It’s looking like a nice day weather wise so I may have to watch on catch up rather than live.

Voting is now open on the big race and will close at 11.59pm on the eve of the contest.
Please vote this year for what you consider to be the top seven and points will be allocated accordingly.
As last year, the sequence of votes will help shape the commentary and I shall use a personally-devised algorithm to take account of the weights, pre-determine the result by the Off and deliver a commentary and result accordingly.
All votes strictly by PM – any votes posted here or by other means will be null and void and the posted disqualified from voting in this year’s event.
The issue of Authoritarian Dictators has struck rather close to home in a very real way in the world this year and I had considered letting this year’s event quietly fade away unnoticed, but Mr Simpson is looking forward to it and I’ll give it my best shot.

The late much loved and admired actor Robert Vaughan wouldn’t like naming the evil soviet dictator Joe Stalin – the man from Uncle – and it is a grossly unfair handicap to the murderous tyke in collecting the silverware, and an added insult to the tens of millions who had their small, life sustaining vegetable plots, replaced by daisies.

This is a mouth watering renewal and the reincarnation of the most novel thread in the lounge EVER. Jellied Eels is possibly my favourite of all time but I possess a warped sense of value because it means something personal and I anyway have strange taste, and doubt it would come anywhere in a poll.
