both knew their stuff! Not enough posts from either!
May 30, 2010 at 20:36 #297688Can’t believe Goldikova has been banned, if that is the case. Run-in with the Scottish football mafia? He posts quite a bit on betfair nowadays.
May 30, 2010 at 21:08 #297691This might seem outrageous and insane but earlier today I had this overwhelming urge to visit The Racing Forum. At first I ignored these inner voices telling me a Username and Password and that I should search for a thread by a Mr. Nathan Hughes.
I resisted until the feelings have now become unbearable. So here I am but now I am even more confused. You see, for the past few weeks I’ve had this strange sense of having been abducted by aliens at some time in the recent past. Even more peculiar is that I now recognise the name mentioned by Nathan on this thread….Ken(West Derby). This name rings a bell because it is how one of the aliens introduced himself aboard the mother ship. He told me that Ken(West Derby) was his earthly name but now he was returning to his home planet outside of the Milky Way. Whilst on Earth he had joined The Racing Forum and that the reason I had been abducted was to be persuaded to continue his mission, which was to become the World Tipping Champion.
I laughed at my alien abductors saying that I knew nothing about racing but they reassured me that they would be assisting me from afar by influencing the outcome of races. So, although I am known as Conundrum I think it’s only fair to advise you that I am only joining the Tipping Competition in memory of Ken, a good alien with a kind heart…correction he hasn’t got a heart but if he did have one I reckon it would be kind.
Anyway, folks, I hope that goes some way to possibly explaining Ken’s absence and I’m sure we wish him well, wherever the end of the Universe is.
ConundrumMay 30, 2010 at 22:23 #297696I see this is your first post, but written like an old pro, welcome to the forum
Conundrum
. Now tell me what colour horse’s do you aliens ride? I can picture dear old Ken now galloping on the moon on top of a bright pink and purple mare.

And that’s just the ones we all know about, I reckon half the forum could be this guy.

May 31, 2010 at 09:50 #297727Jim JPS
– If I remember I think he got upset about the Celtic Boyos on here taking the piss out of Rangers and of course there is the ‘Clock Issue’
Yes, they’re a sensitive lot those bluenose types: a strange breed – don’t like it up ’em.
I’m sure he’s let loose his overweight pitbull, "Porky" in the forum a few times, just to snarl and growl at us Celts.

Calling occupants of interplanetary hyperspace. Greetings to Gamble, supreme commander of all things Earthly and The Racing Forum. You are the chosen one Gamble. From now on you have free reign to publish you innermost thoughts on this platform without fear of retribution by the axeman.

Cubone’s blog is terrific, though his earlier missives from the dim distant shady-but-colourful little world seem to have disappeared, which is a shame
Anyone know if they’re archived elsewhere?
June 3, 2010 at 09:58 #298344…on here, it seems,
..not my cup of tea but you can still find cubone on this forum in the archives, from about 2003 to 2006.
Here is one of the threads which might still be of interest to some, including exchanges with several ‘Guests’ well known to many, including a rather amusing, if slightly politically incorrect tete a tete [jibe], with ‘James’, [almost certainly TDK]:-

June 3, 2010 at 15:35 #298417Thanks UM, yes I remember his posts on here, some more recent than 2006 I think
He’s maintained a blog for a while; I used to read it but mislaid the web address so I was hoping someone knew it, as the one mentioned only contains this year’s rambles
December 29, 2011 at 09:49 #20639Why aren’t The TRF Banned given their old forum names when they return? Would be better imo.
hurdygurdywho?
December 29, 2011 at 11:02 #384738At least it is a fresh start for them Cav. By coming back as a different entity they may be able to change their wicked ways.
If they came back as their original name it would be difficult for other members to wipe the slate clean too. At least this way a "banned" member can try and prove themselves before we all guess who they are anyway.
I myself find it easier to adress some members with different pet names, depending on the way they’re acting. eg good "Gord", bad "Fisher", excellent bet "King". So as not to take ill feeling from one thread in to another.
