Have just been to see
Show of Hands and was chuffed to hear them do a Racing Song; it’s called Galway Farmer and it’s on utube [don’t know how to cut and paste things]. I’ve never heard a band do a racing song before and it was brilliant; had a thoroughly enjoyable night!

Here it is.Seems they change the lyrics to suit,don’t mind that.
But the song is not to my taste.Each to their own.
Oh, but it so sums up what it feels like to go to Cheltenham and put money on a horse, and I’ve never heard anyone sing about it before [of course, mine don’t win….]

Morris dancers are very nice people.I once borrowed a hanky off one of them in Dorset.
