Nothing beats a spicy encounter.
When Brackley and Banbury were both in NLN, police said only 250 away fans to both matches. Both clubs lost a fair few quid due to plod, but probably saved me mates windows near the ground..
April 11, 2026 at 18:36 #1763234Commiserations to Brackley. I assume they will be put back into NLN next season.
An unfortunate result for Southport today but I am not to disappointed or surprised. I half expected the season to catch up with us at Curzon Ashton on Monday, instead it was today. At least I stayed at home and watched the racing instead.
The win against Marine in effect guaranteed our safety but King’s Lynn’s defeat today ensures it mathematically.
April 11, 2026 at 19:15 #1763240Cheers Cas, but the hole was already dug when the previous manager left for The Shrews.
Cobbs are done too..I wonder if thats impacting my bets..
Good for Southport to confirm their presence in NLN next season, maybe Ill take a road trip North with the Brackley tribe.April 11, 2026 at 22:59 #1763281Gary Johnson has taken Taunton out of the relegation zone after 2 draws and 3 wins in the last 5 games.

April 13, 2026 at 18:40 #1763536Hes taken his time to settle in then. I thought Taunton were done for this season.
April 14, 2026 at 18:03 #1763613Thankfully the end of the season is coming.
Tonight Banbury visit Stamford and tomorrow Cobbs away to Luton.

-205.5April 14, 2026 at 19:02 #1763623Some important games in the NLN tonight.
South Shields v Macclesfield ought to be a hard fought encounter. If the home side win by two goals or more, they go top.
Hereford and Alfreton are both in action as well. They could do with winning, otherwise it will look grim for them.
It looks like Jim Bentley is being booted upstairs to something like a Director of Football role at Morecambe next season.
April 15, 2026 at 06:16 #1763641Alfreton could only draw, while Hereford lost 2-1 to Oxford after being 1-0 up.
I think Alfreton are gone. It will be tough for Hereford but at least their remaining three games are all at home: Radcliffe, Marine and Peterborough Sports. If they can win all three games, they might stay up.
Radcliffe certainly look beatable. Towards the end of February they were 4th in the table. Then Southport beat them on 24th February and they haven’t won a match since. Their last 11 games have ended in 2 draws and 9 defeats. The wheels have well and truly fallen off since the manager jumped ship to local rivals (and bigger club) Bury.
South Shields won 4-1 and overtake Fylde at the top. If they win on Saturday and Fylde lose, it will put the North East side 3 points clear with a better goal difference.
Fylde’s next opponents: Southport. We dumped them out of the FA Trophy on their ground, now we have the chance to finish Dogfood Dave’s title hopes as well. What a memorable double that would be!

If only Saturday can …April 17, 2026 at 21:32 #1764009Looked on Oddschecker and found Southport are as big as 14/1 to beat Fylde tomorrow with “10 Bet”, a firm I have never heard of before. I assumed it was a glitch but I went on the site and the price does appear to be valid.
Tempting as it is to open an account and throw £20 on it, I cannot see us winning. We have the look of a side that has run out of steam, while Fylde will be much more up for this match than they were for the FA Trophy.
The relegation battle will be interesting. Hereford must be relishing playing against sinking like a stone Radcliffe. Alfreton need to win, otherwise their relegation to the Northern Premier League is confirmed.
April 17, 2026 at 21:44 #1764012I expect “10 Bet” (a dodgy looking firm if ever there was one) would claim palpable error on the 14/1 if Southport did win. The next largest price quoted is 17/2, so is it credible they are offering almost twice the price?
April 18, 2026 at 13:42 #1764115CAS, they may not notice a silly little bet.
Cobbs are in discussion with a football focused finance group that are prepared to pay off the debts. One born every minute springs to mind.
April 18, 2026 at 17:48 #1764187Thankfully I didn’t bother with 10 Bet and even more pleased I didn’t travel to Kirkham & Wesham. As I suspected, it was a match too far against a team that was well up for it.
It looks like Dave’s lot will go up now but at least South Shields got a late equaliser to give themselves a chance.
I knew Hereford would beat Radcliffe. I only wish I had taken the 11/10, which was a gift. And fair play to Alfreton. Beating Marine on their rubbish plastic pitch with a last minute winner was a great result.
Hereford can give themselves a good chance of staying up by beating Marine on Tuesday. And Alfreton v Curzon Ashton on the final weekend next Saturday might be feisty.
April 21, 2026 at 01:06 #1764392Guaranteed safety for Taunton after beating the 2nd placed team 1-0
That’s 5 wins in a row and only one conceded

April 21, 2026 at 18:09 #1764467Thats a great result for Taunton, I was expecting a set of final fixtures chaos as to who went down.

-184.1April 23, 2026 at 19:23 #1764579Last Saturday for the Non League teams Banbury away to Needham Market who can not improve their play off position.
Brackley away to Carlisle another assured of play offs. While the Cobbs who have set some records in the last few weeks for the most consecutive losses in their history play promoted Cardiff.
Its great being a football supporter.
Cardiff to sing we will never play you again and win 5-1
