Had the same problem, but at the bottom of the Home page there is a button to reset your password
February 27, 2015 at 18:25 #760206Layout looks good Cormac, , agree the print is a bit small. Also wouldn’t accept my old password, had to reset. But minor problems only
February 27, 2015 at 18:51 #760284Yeah my notification email went to spam too, so presumably that’s the same for everyone. Something to be aware of.
I'd like to live in a place where they cordon off swans...February 27, 2015 at 19:06 #760360No not in Ireland, this side of the water THM it’s running at Newbury. It’s not run for 400 days+, was due to run last week, but the meeting fell fowl of the weather. It’s been ready to run for a little while now and I know they were desperate to get its rating up to get it in the 2m5f handicap chase at the festival. I doubt he’s going to get in for that now even with a penalty for winning tomorrow as he’s so far down list…Prices ranging from 7’s-10’s at moment for tomorrow. I’ve got as much on as possible at 10’s (not a whole lot as it was PP) but a whole lot more on at 9’s, plus some at 8’s too.
Westward Point 3.25 Newbury tomorrow. It’s a whole lot better than its 129 mark. They think it’s a nice horse, I’ve waited a good while for this one to turn out, I think it will smash this lot off 10-6.
February 27, 2015 at 19:27 #760405“Westward Point is not far away from making his seasonal debut which could be at Wetherby on 31st January. He looks a picture and seems to be growing up as he has been quite headstrong in the past. He has improved physically and is now looking the finished article.”
That was a quote from the trainer just after Christmas, he’ll be fit tomorrow. It was Warwick which was abandoned last week, I could not remember when writing the above even though I’d had a big bet on him the night before it was called off.
He was the horse AP rode instead of More Of That in that ones first novice hurdle.
February 27, 2015 at 19:33 #760492The basis of a really nice looking forum is here.
I’m not a fan of of the recent posts strip down the right hand side of the screen. It would look nice and clean if the discussions carried across the entire width of the screen as it does on the first forum menu.
February 27, 2015 at 19:56 #760700Everyone – Agree with a lot of the comments. Now that the forum has migrated reasonably successfully we’ll now get to work tidying up the layout, etc. Lot to go at and there are only a couple of us (and I’m learning on the hoof) so bear with us.

Nice one Mark, I had a tenner free bet with PP so I’ve had it on, best of luck.
The one I have my eye on at Leopardstown is Sir Scorpion in the 2m handicap hurdle.
Second on his debut at Fairyhouse, he finished behind Moon Racer, and ahead of Turcagua and Tycoon Prince. All three of those horses are above average bumper performers but things haven’t worked out that way with Sir Scorpion. Placed in another bumper and then disappointing on his last start in that sphere, he’s had a somewhat standard McManus start to life over hurdles, with three runs down the field, showing improvement last time when sixth, again at Fairyhouse. He has been given a mark of 104, and while you could say Noel O’Brien couldn’t give him any more on his hurdles form, I’d be very surprised if he’s not better than that. The gamble with a horse like him is not whether he’s well handicapped or not, but when will be ‘the day’. At 14/1 I’ll take a chance they turn him loose tomorrow.

February 27, 2015 at 21:22 #761334I am not bloody Manchester I am GDC but was made Manchester, ridiculous is not the word!! Are you guys on any other racing forums?
February 27, 2015 at 21:29 #761385Totally understand you are ‘trying’ to improve the site BUT who in their right mind would totally destroy a very popular and well run site days before the biggest festival ever???!!! No chance of going back to the user friendly layout and usage?

Sorry Gary but if I could find the laughing smiley I’d use it, made me laugh that!
I post now and again on the Betfair forums under a different name, and Talking Horses under the same name.
Also post very rarely on Racecaller, popped in for a look yesterday when this place was down. You have to sift through a lot of trends-based threads on there, which are not my cup of tea but there’s plenty of activity on it.
February 27, 2015 at 21:40 #761432Corm we appreciate all your hard work so far. At least we’re posting!
Surely a forum is 99% the people on it and the posts they make. Everything else is cosmetic.
Keep up the good work!
