In the Daily Lays And Plays section, I’d personally be in favour of NO EDITING what so ever. So there’s no possibility of anyone going back and changing a back or lay; or of being accused of doing so.

Seems a bit paranoid. Everyone makes mistakes and it’s not much cop if you can’t edit an error.

I would think anyone putting winners up after the races would soon get caught out and ridiculed off the site.

Big Confident Bet anyone?

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

I would say things are going better than I expected ….not a dogs dinner , and not perfect , but a long way down the road to being pretty darn good

Well done Corm ….as the bloke said whilst falling off the empire state building ….”so far so good ” :yahoo:

Small thing:
Could the font for signatures be in a slightly lighter colour to separate them from the posts themselves? They seem to run in to each other at the moment even with the line. :mail:

Ginger, you can change the colour of your signature if you wish. This makes it stand out. I’ve done it with mine in the colour Teal as an example.

It’s pretty easy to do. Took me two minutes.

Just go in to edit your profile and before your signature type in then after your signature type

The example is just if you want red, you can pick whatever one you fancy by inserting the name where red is above.

Save the changes and your colour will change once you refresh the page.

You can get a list of colours here:-

Some are so faint you can barely see them.

Hope that helps somebody.

Good stuff Steve

That wee trick with the color code works in the thread also so you can amend teh colours of certain words, etc.

Thanks everyone for the supportive comments. I’m afraid my only real input of any great note was to moan and whinge at the two lads who did all the real work.

And praise from Ricky Lake is praise indeed…thank you Ricky!

True, “everyone makes mistakes”, but mistakes can be rectified using the quote button and saying “I’ve made a mistake…”. But may be I am paranoid. ;-)

In the Topical Racing Discussion forum, can’t Royal Ascot 2014 and TRF Awards sections be moved to the archive?

Could the unread threads marker be reinstated please, and the ‘mark all threads as read’ option

If you haven’t logged in for a while the above make it easier to navigate to where you ended a previous session

Will the Preview option come back soon?
It’s nice to see how your post will look before you press the ‘Submit button’ and see more clearly if
there are any errors, spelling etc.

Ive not posted for a long time as I was always pushing for time when I ran my SOFTWARE SELECTION thread a few years back and although not shown here still use the software. If time permits I will show them here for the CHELTENHAM festival as its and some really good days as well as bad in past YEARS.
As for the forum itself I think if you are using it on a daily basis one gets use to how it works and then a change comes along for some reason [maybe explained why at the time] and if problems arise or one does not like the NEW LAY OUT negative comments are likely.
I hope I can contribute in the future but will not be every day but can still see threads that have been going for a LONG TIME and wish the FORUM and its new look all the best for the future.
