Yeah, yesterday’s local forecast did say rain was going to ‘hang around’ across Glos/Cheltenham most of the day.

You wouldn’t want a good ground horse. I suspect wild, wet, and mild weather will become the winter/spring norm, if it hasn’t already.

Just hope it doesn’t get too bad next week.

    Thanks for the updates nwalton.

They had expected max 8mm over the weekend but got 7mm on Saturday alone.
Going by your reports from yesterday, It’s looking like genuinely testing ground now.

How far are you from the track, 10 miles or so? Is it possible they could’ve missed some of the rain?

I live right next to Fergal Obrien’s yard in Andoversford so a touch over six miles, was in town yesterday and they were getting it as well. I will update in morning but just dull and overcast at present with a very little drizzle in the air.

Official going this morning still maintained as soft. Not too fussed about the Cross Country, but that is given as heavy (soft in places). Surprised it hasn’t worsened.

Thanks for the update. It’s going to be pretty testing by this afternoon, given that the forecast shows no sign of the rain abating until mid-afternoon.
