I was with you all the way QF!
January 6, 2018 at 15:39 #1335972I don’t belieeeeeeeeeeve it

I think I’ve paid half of his fees following him since I was in shorts,
and I left him completely alone. The only saving grace is that I had LOOSE
CHIPS e/w at 20s with Skybet, and they went 5 places so I just squeezed
in there. It still feels like a loser though
January 6, 2018 at 16:13 #1335978OH NO GRAHAM !!!
I can’t believe you didn’t back him!!

What a wonderful race though!! And when you seen the monkey Buywise there at the last you just knew he was gonna win!!
January 6, 2018 at 16:26 #1335982Change of jockey does wonders with the old reprobate.
Best ride of the year – so far.Well done Buywise backers.
Value Is EverythingJanuary 6, 2018 at 16:38 #1335984Buywise! Shock horror!
Well done, Quelle Farce.
Graham, I feel your pain but you need to give up on these cliff horses at some point. :(
January 6, 2018 at 17:16 #1335990Agreed Joe, it’s just that this was the wrong point
January 6, 2018 at 17:19 #1335991I can hardly believe it myself Raymo, and I could see it coming from some way out too. Actually,
although I kicked myself a bit I was happy to see him get his day in the sun, it’s been some time coming.January 6, 2018 at 17:42 #1335994Well done to those who kept the faith with Buywise, thought he had gone after all those hard races.
January 6, 2018 at 17:54 #1335999Neither can i BigG, i must of paid the other half of his fees as well.
January 6, 2018 at 18:29 #1336008Going by that botchy, I reckon we must be due a percentage of his winnings today
January 6, 2018 at 19:15 #1336013Although not as faithful as some I’ve had a few quid on him in the past, although I had a few of these horses today so was not surprised to see one win without me having a bean on. Well done Buywise you’ve had your talent rewarded today
January 6, 2018 at 19:16 #1336014Some ride from Aspell on the winner and an underrated training performance from Longsdon to get PTF primed so well again.
Gamble on Houblon looked big near the off, a few burnt bigtime there.
Racing Post trying to stir up a Veterans race move to the fez earlier I thought was crazy. Perfect as it is at the moment.
January 6, 2018 at 19:20 #1336015Agreed. Been suffering all week with the damn cold but its seeing the old favourites like these run over them fences which makes a cold early January day so much better
January 6, 2018 at 20:05 #1336025You follow horses down the drains, stop when you the smell of the sewer is too depressing and then go and watch them hack up.
Still, the horse pretty much never wins so I’m not annoyed I didn’t back him as I’d lose more money in the long run if I kept backing similar horses all the time.
Gutted for Pete fans but it’s nice to see Buywise get his day in the sun after a career of insults being thrown at him.
January 6, 2018 at 23:23 #1336063Lol that’s pretty much it Charles, although I always thought there was a really big race in
him. To be fair to him, he’s not really cost me as he’s regularly over the past couple or years
been placed at decent prices, particularly at Cheltenham. I’m glad to see him get his head in
front today with his usual come from nowhere tactics, I think the difference was that there
wasn’t the strength up front to get to the line before him. I hope that wasn’t his swan song.January 6, 2018 at 23:50 #1336066Great shout from Quelle
on old Buywise, who would have thought it. Hope you enjoyed screaming him home.Glad your bookie paid out on 5th place Graham some consolation but know what you mean about feeling that you let that one get away. At least he got round, Fox Appeal wasn’t on a going day today and got rid of Richard Johnson early in the race..at least they all came home tired but safe it was lovely to see all the old boys out today.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...January 7, 2018 at 00:15 #1336069It was great to see the old boys all together Jac, a race full of character. These veterans races
aren’t to everyone’s taste, but their right up my street
