RICKIE FOWLER 45/1
I put him up at 28/1 earlier in year but bad form since seen him drifted i give him a chance here on this demanding layout and fact he had pratice rounds here late last year tells me this best chance for him to break major duck here.
HENRIK STENSON 33/1 Ante post
At halfway stage of open i bet on Stenson to win this major he is one of those players who once he wins one title he follow up.And did that with wins BMW open and at Troon.Stenson will enjoy it here as well think he be man to beat here.
SERGIO GARCIA 30/1
Last 4 majors gone to 1st time winners with DJ and Stenson that monkey off there back could say Sergio is next.He is bang in form and got form at Barclays where this course is like this one.Sergio can win a major could be this week.
BRANDT SNEDEKER 55/1
Sneds blew a chance in Canada at weekend he play here last time it was held while it true he not do well that was 11 years ago and he a much better player now.Won titles before but no major may happen this week.
JUSTIN THOMAS 125/1
With Fowler was my other early ante post bet for this and he drifted to not been in same form as last year but did play well at Troon was early leader that suggest to me he is starting to find form again. he likes tough layouts he proved by his Honda classic showing JT can go well.
SOREN KJEDSEN 200/1
When you look at event last time here a dane was in top 3 that was Thomas Bjorn.I think Kjedsen can go well to at a big price. He play well at Augusta and at Troon and tough layouts hold no fear for him as he shown in Irish open win last year.
What your bets Raymo,BigG and Bob be in here to
July 25, 2016 at 23:43 #1257530I have six picks in this Darren and you will be pleased to know none of them are the same as you LOL
BRANDON STEELE 250/1
FRANCESCO MOLINARI 150/1
ZACH JOHNSON 60/1
BRANDON GRACE 55/1
JOOST LUITEN 250/1
JASON DAY 10/1
July 27, 2016 at 22:27 #1257884I’m on Garcia at 25s and Fowler at 40s. Good luck gents.
July 28, 2016 at 01:10 #1257919BUBBA WATSON 33/1 ante post
I bet Bubba at the start of the year, when he looked a better proposition
for this. He’s readily available at 40/1 now, not much I can do about that,
but he’s not without hope if he can find his game again. He can be a streaky
player so I’ll just hope this is the start of a new streak.BROOKS KOEPKA 66/1 Sky 7 places.
You can get Keopka at 70/1, but I’ll happily take a few points off for the
extra couple of places. Frankly I’m amazed that he is this price. I suppose
there is the worry that he has not fully recovered from the injury in the
Bridgestone, but I’d be surprised if he would risk further damage if he
wasn’t fully fit. He’s a young golfer who is not far off Major winning
level and has had a cracking year, more recently being beaten in a play off
at the AT&T Byron Nelson and T2 in the FedEx St Jude in May and June. He
followed that with T13 in the US Open, and that was after a 1st round 75. I
think he’s the real deal and it bodes well that he was a top 5 finish in this
last year and a top 10 the year before. There’s a saying “beware the injured
golfer”, I think that applies in Koepka’s case.BRANDT SNEDEKER 55/1 7 places Paddy Power
I’m with Darren on Sneds. I was near with him last week, I thought
he would win going into the last round as leader in the Canadian Open, but it
wasn’t to be and he lost out by one shot for a playoff. I think he has the
game to do well here and I don’t think last weeks slip up will be a problem to
him, I think he is mentally tougher now.I’m tempted with my old pal Adam Scott, but I’m going to leave him until I see
how he gets on in the 1st round. If his game looks to be coming back I’ll have a punt.
I’ll also be having the my 3 in the 1st round betting, Bubba and Brooks at 50s and
Sneds at 60s.Best of luck to all you guys
July 28, 2016 at 11:43 #1257955Sorry no time for proper writeup as in a rush out and completely forgot the tournament was this week! Done my quick research and I’ll go for (have only looked at the odds on pp so I doubt these are the best prices available)
Phil Mick 20/1 – in top form and won the last major that was played on this course
Steve Stricker 100/1 – too big of a price for a good player who’s in form
Patrick Reed 50/1 – slowly coming into form
Jim Furky 70/1 – could bomb out but too big of a price should be around 33/1 imo
July 29, 2016 at 19:00 #1258229Stenson playing very solid for you Darren will be interesting to see what Jimmy Walker and Fisher do today
July 29, 2016 at 21:18 #1258255Yeah Stenson did ok but Grillo got 2shot lead now like him as a player was 50/1 winner for me last year. And backed him in majors this year but not this week.
July 30, 2016 at 09:06 #1258335Well four of my six made the cut but it looks like I am cheering for Day Zach and Grace in the last two rounds.
Good Luck guys a long way to go yet
July 31, 2016 at 15:48 #1258515I love the way Stenson plays the game, going to be a wild day today no repairings for the 4th round
July 31, 2016 at 16:49 #1258520Jimmy Walker is leader going into final round i feel he chuck it away and be between Stenson,Day and Koepka if Stenson not win i hope Day wins for Raymo and Stenson for BigG
July 31, 2016 at 17:30 #1258523Jimmy Walker is leader going into final round i feel he chuck it away and be between Stenson,Day and Koepka if Stenson not win I hope Day wins for Raymo and Stenson for BigG
Cheers Darren, let’s hope all of us get a place and one of us gets the win. It’s great to
see the 3 of us in with a shout on the last day of the last major.Ben, it would be asking a lot for Reed to get back into this, the leaders would need to
fall back a bit, but not without of a shout for getting into the places, he’s only 2 shots
off of 5th place. Fingers crossed he gives you a run for your money
July 31, 2016 at 17:51 #1258531looks like we are all in with a shout here!!
Fingers crossed one of us wins it!!
July 31, 2016 at 19:31 #1258543Cheers BigG indeed Reeds doing alright and if he places that’ll be enough to make me happy, but regardless I’m just hoping one of you guys get the win so cheering for Koepka, Stenson and Day really really hope Walker hits a triple bogey a the 1st and crumbles from there anyone else up there can do one as well
July 31, 2016 at 19:32 #1258544Going to be a great nights watching shall have to smoke a cheeky j soon to get prepared
July 31, 2016 at 19:44 #1258545We just need JW to fall away and we will have four chances KOEPKA DAY STENSON and GRACE !!
