Just checked again before I put him on the antepost comp- my £2.50 ew has clearly frightened them (and Betfair sportsbook) into alignment with others, he’s now 33s.

I’ll go Quilixios 12-1 for now.

Not much love for Zanahiyr here which surprises me. Think it’ll take something out the ordinary to beat him.

Agreed. The latest Rowleyfile sectional spotlight saw old Simon more excited than he has been about any horse since Visinari! And you can see why.

    Team Zanahiyr :good:

Zanahiyr was good but im not getting carried away like others in the media have for 3 reasons. Firstly the Robbie Power horse went off a million miles an hour so not surprising the clock watchers wet themselves. Secondly when asked if he was his main hope for the Triumph Elliott said he had Quilixios as well and that they would be kept apart before Cheltenham. Thirdly the Triumph Hurdle winner may not have run yet.

He may have gone off a million miles an hour but that pace was sustained rather than the leaders ever coming back to them. The race was run at a genuine grade one clip and Zanahiyr was never out of his comfort zone. Seems to me like there’s plenty more to come and I’d still be happy taking 4/1 right now.

Yes agree, that is what the supporters will be saying. That he ‘wasn’t stopping’.

The Donnellys have picked up French Aseel and sent him to Willie. Massive inconvenience from a purely selfish perspective because I was thinking Zanahiyr was past the post.

Quilixios is 5-4 favourite over 2-1 French Aseel at the DRF, yet for the Triumph Quilixios is 4 points bigger. Weird.

There is doubt over French Aseel being declared, if he is I think the market will correct itself in line with current ante post prices.

Just started working my way through this propeeky, of course ive seen zanahiyrs runs etc and he looks top notch to my eye

Not so keen on quilixios and ill definitely be taking him on at the DRF

Really liked the look of french aseel also, if mullins finds anymore improvement which he may not need to given the forms been boosted he looks dangerous

But im going to chance youmdor @18/1 & ha d’or @25/1

Youmdor to my eye would have bolted up LTO i think he will win on sunday at the DRF,

Ha d’or found his feet after the last fence behind zanahiyr, he could take a massive step up on that, looks exiciting

I am hoping Quilixios wins well at the DRF to give Zanahiyr something to think about next month

You’ve got to be happy with that Mike, he’s a super looking horse, relaxed and travels beautifully.
