Id be slightly concerned the apples shakira would turn up in the mares novice now because of the other hendo horse in this
January 12, 2018 at 18:01 #1337056They would be more concerned about the Cromwell horse than any other, if they went the Mares route IMO.
January 12, 2018 at 18:21 #1337058True, another factor, apples shakira arguably at this moment is a solid fav for the mares novice and ED is a live contender in this not to mention the other hendo horse, he would rather split them up if he could youd think
IMO i just dont think she will line up here yet, i suppose NRNB is about now so no harm done and inmay have read this totally wrong
January 12, 2018 at 18:31 #1337059Hendo said in his blog today that he has Countister for the Mares’ Novice race and Shakira won’t be needed for the Mares.
January 12, 2018 at 19:57 #1337074Strange eh? I mean take out AS he has the fav for the triumph, so youd think he would apply that thinking that way
January 12, 2018 at 20:13 #1337078JP calls the shots it would seem, and I’m sure he would rather let both Apples Shakira and Espoir D’allen take their chance in the Triumph, rather than guarantee the Mares Novice but only rely on Espoir.
January 13, 2018 at 10:25 #1337203Redicean is 25/1 non-runner-no-bet with William Hill.
If he wins well today those odds will tumble. I haven’t actually been enthused by any of the juveniles so far so I can’t see why King’s horse can’t make his presence felt if he wins well today. Of course he must win well today but if he doesn’t then he won’t turn up at Cheltenham.
January 13, 2018 at 12:52 #1337254Very happy with that although I’d liked to have seen slicker jumping.
January 13, 2018 at 12:56 #1337258nice price you have there, quite a turn of foot.
January 13, 2018 at 16:21 #1337325Agree with Charles on him as well at 25/1 like to see him go left handed next i do
January 13, 2018 at 17:14 #1337345Well done if you got 25/1 guys! But he will be beaten here for sure if he continues to jump like that. Class got him through today
January 13, 2018 at 20:14 #1337382Wayne Hutchinson says they didn’t go anywhere near quick enough for him. A quicker pace and he’d be slicker over his hurdles is the opinion of his rider.
January 14, 2018 at 07:32 #1337413Mullins has an entry on Wednesday for a potential smart one. Could be anything if he jumps ok.

Ran against some interesting types LTO on the flat

January 14, 2018 at 13:50 #1337449I still really like Mitchouka for this race. I know he’s been beaten twice by Espoir D’Allen already this season but I think he will improve for the faster pace around Cheltenham and I really like his speed over hurdles. He’s just won a lower quality race at Fairyhouse this afternoon nicely as expected. I was interested as to why Elliott ran him in this race. It’s not like Mitchouka has been thrashed in the graded races he’s run him, far from it. Hence I can only assume they felt he either needed a confidence booster or were trying to run him in a different manner to see if that suited him or not.
January 14, 2018 at 15:43 #1337467It’s a very strong renewal. I’m intrigued to see what happens and will continue to study the form but ground is going to be a massive factor based on what I’ve seen thus far. I think there will be value right up until the start of the festival
January 14, 2018 at 17:25 #1337471I can’t remember a triumph hurdle anywhere near this good.
Looks one of the best races at the festival (outside of the main 4 races obviously)
January 14, 2018 at 23:01 #1337500Mitchouka looking FW bound CNC according to Gordon earlier.
Couldn’t agree anymore regarding the ground, think the quicker it is the more chance there is for Shakira to get turned over.
