He died of leukemia which he’s been battling for a year. A Hall of Fame trainer and five time Eclipse award winning trainer, he will be missed by many in the racing community. Bobby Frankel was 68. I guess I never really got over his horse Sqirtle Squirt beating Xtra Heat in the Breeder’s Cup Sprint, but he was a happy guy that day and I will miss you Bobby. My condolences to his family, friends and fans.
