    A good evening to everyone.

    Well a rare week when i drew a blank, here’s hoping i don’t make a habit of it :) .

Ok to this weeks offerings and beginning with the Ladies for a change.

First up the Madrid Ladies Masters and the first name that comes of my lips is Paula Marti, that is however as far as it goes as it is on home soil and whilst some do win it is more often than not a slight deterrent as the expectation is sometimes to much.

Two players in pretty good nick for starters here, those being Martina Eberl and last weeks winner Anja Monke so yes a strong German connection here.

My third choice is none other than Melissa Reid who i seem to be just doing for the sake of it at the moment, but i still have faith that when she get’s her head in front many more will follow.

So to the stateside offering and the Samsung World Championship and the market as you would expect is dominated by Lorena Ochoa, but given that she got there via the penalty shoot out last week there is i’m sure enough hope there for the others to perhaps get a win.

First of the sheet here and it will come as no surprise to regular viewers that i am again drawn to camp Creamer, so yes Paula Creamer will be entrusted with being first to solve this case.

But for a shot here and there Karrie Webb would have finished up in the money last week without suggesting she would have won so i am more than prepared to go with her again.

For my third choice here i think i have saved the best until last, i feel it could be a good weekend for Hull, firstly in the shape of their football team sorting my mob out at the Lane on Saturday, let’s face it if they can go to the Emirates and gain a win this should be a doddle  , here’s hoping that Katherine Hull can make it a weekend to remember come Sunday Evening.

The good news here is that we don’t have to worry about the cut in both Ladies events :D .

Ok to the Mens and firstly the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship which sould be entertaining to say the least, i unfortunately failed to get an invite  , of those that did i will be going here with 3 of the Ryder Cup team, firstly having had a good one Justin Rose will be my main source of interest here, here’s hoping he is in the same frame of mind.

Two others who will feel that they could have done better but nonetheless when seen recently have been doing ok on the Tour, so here’s hoping that Henrik Stenson and MIguel Angel Jimenez will fare better this week.

For my final choice i am going to go with Rory Mcilroy who although has not fulfilled his potential since bursting onto the scene much like Chris Wood has not yet in last years Open he did have a good time of it in last years event and recently almost gained his first Pro Win, here’s hoping that he can build on that recent outing and maybe add some capital to my bank balance come Sunday Afternoon.

Finally for me and the Turning Stone Resort Championship and having had an original starting list of 7 i have managed to Prune it done to these three, firstly Kevin Streelman is given an opportunity to build on his good showings recently, he will be joind by firstly John Senden and finally another chance is given to Heath Slocum to hopefully get his head in front again.

For those interested the ommitted one’s were Sean O’Hair, Dudley Hart, Vaughn Taylor and JJ Henry so needless to say the winner will come from one of them  .

Well that will do it for me so as always to everyone BE LUCKY.

    Cheers for now.

    Adrian.

Good luck to Adrian and anybody else betting on the golf this week.

The main events on the pga tour have finished but the Fall series continues and this week moves to the Big Apple with the Turning Stone Resort Championship being the core event :) Sean O’hair will hopefully play well after a rest and he is one of my selections along with the long hitting Steve Marino who should love this course….so get ready for a missed cut :(
I am also betting on John Mallinger who I chose as the one to watch on the pga tour this year  ….unfortunately I have been watching him finish too far down the leaderboard most weeks. My other choices are Kevin Streelman and one at a big price of 220/1 is Nick Flanagan.

Only 20 players compete in the Samsung World Championships and my two choices for this are Cristie Kerr and Suzann Pettersen.

The best tournament this week is the Alfred Dunhill links championship. I’m hoping that Justin Rose can repeat the form of his excellent Ryder Cup performance here at St Andrews. Next up is Rory McIlroy who has shown a liking for this course and almost won a few weeks ago before inexperience got the better of him. My other picks are Henrik Stenson and Peter Hanson.

    Happy punting :)

    Pete
