For those having trouble with screen size you may wish to try the following:
Tools
Browser Options
Appearance
Web Page Graphics – ‘click on’ Enable Automatic Image ResizingPete

This doesn’t work for me. I don’t get ‘Browser Options’ coming up when I go into ‘Tools’.
July 9, 2007 at 12:59 #106867What’s going on here? Messages show up for a split second, then disappear completely, not showing up again at all…
Must be a glitch?
July 9, 2007 at 13:04 #106868NV – that happened me on that same thread last night – I presumed it was my computer so didn’t bother posting it.

The viewing figures for the revamped forum don’t look very encouraging at the moment. Have you any plans or timetable to tailor the somewhat bland and generic design of the website to a more "horsey" and homely look? Have the scrolling issues been fully resolved?
Two features of the old forum that I and I’m sure others miss are that nosey facility that allows you to see what topics others are viewing and the old poll which was a lot more user-friendly and illustrative than the current one.
It would be a shame to see the forum becoming as moribund as so many others.

July 17, 2007 at 13:32 #108233Where can you see the viewing figures zilzal?
July 17, 2007 at 13:36 #108234David
As in:
In total there are 19 users online :: 3 Registered, 0 Hidden and 16 Guests
at the bottom of page. Tell me they are wrong! the figures seemed much higher on the old forum. Maybe they were calculated over a longer timespan.
July 17, 2007 at 13:40 #108236I know I’m only a newbie here but I think everyone should be a little more patient as Cormack is doing all this in his own time. Websites are a dam nuisance when they need tweaking and take up an awful lot of time.
July 17, 2007 at 14:58 #108247Zilzal – if I remember correctly the stats on the old site stated how many users had used the site within the previous HOUR and not just at that specific moment.
July 17, 2007 at 16:23 #108253David
Viewing stats now seem to be for 30mins as against 1 hour previously. Thanks for reminding me.
Apologies Kingston & Co if my previous post sounds a bit crude and negative. We all acknowledge Cormack15’s sterling work since taking over the forum. Just concerned that some members may slip away rather than offer any negative feedback of the new site.

July 17, 2007 at 23:09 #108316Z- all feedback welcomed. The site is still being tweaked and glitches removed one by one. Viewing figs calculated differently than on the previous site, as DB points out.
Number of posts/topics is quite dynamic and we hopefully haven’t lost too many members during the transition. It’s encouraging to see quite a few new memebers posting and getting involved over last couple of weeks so hopefully we’re on the right track.

I didn’t think it was crude and negative really I didn’t!
I was just worried about Corm getting down about it all.July 18, 2007 at 07:09 #108351I notice that there are still pharmaceutical companies signing up as new members of a horse-racing forum.

Is it a fact that a lot of racing followers suffer from (a) sexual dysfunction?

July 18, 2007 at 08:17 #108360Latest member sign-up SEXMANSS…………….which is nice!

July 18, 2007 at 19:28 #108442Don’t worry SB – all new members have to have their accounts activated before posting and the spam ones are deleted at that point. However, I’m quite happy to pass on their details to you if you are in need!!
Kingston – I NEVER get down about anything!!
July 18, 2007 at 20:51 #108452A minor gripe but the clock seems wrong by about 6 minutes and has been since the relaunch.
