Gabrials kaka gets left so much to do in these big fields and is still off 102
At a more in depth study the two i fancy are moohaarib and dream spirit (would have to settle)

There has been a little money for my pick Mondialiste, which is an encouraging sign. The current going at Doncaster is good-soft, good in places and that wouldn’t bother this horse. However, any further rain would put me off other pick Baraweez, who seemed unsuited by the soft in The Cambridgeshire.

Plenty enough support for Ed Dunlop’s Zarwaan these past ten days or so. In from 20/1 to half those odds and an eye melting 6/1 in a place. In fact Coral’s book of 9/2, 6/1, 6/1 the first three looks like a betting firm totally devoid on the testicle front.

I’m not really a follower of the Ed Dunlop yard, plenty of his horses seem to be well supported before, usually, failing to deliver. He’s lightly raced, with just the good fifth in The Britannia at Royal Ascot pointing to his chance here. Not for me at the odds.

Dermot Weld’s Stuccodor may well run in the Irish Lincoln the following day, rather than here. Roger Varian’s Mindurownbusiness is definitely out of the race though, having been withdrawn and he will now head to Lingfield instead.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

Zarwaan could well be an ‘after you sir’ kind of horse!

Hopefully my two will turn up!!! I have backed them both at 25/1 and getting them to the start is half the battle with ante post!! What About Carlo is even jocked up so hope prevails!!

Wouldn’t rule out ocean tempest for this off 105 with the claim, has had the same prep as last year and I reckon this was the target, only if the rain falls though, only concern is if the poor things been ran too much.

I have backed two ante post for the Lincoln. Really like You’re Fired which was a speculative punt at 33s as was always going to find it difficult to get in off 89, was hoping for some rain and the race cutting up a bit.Not too be though.

Also on Zarwaan at 16s and like this horses profile, hope the trainer has the stable in better form than early last season.

Munaaser is out of the race Dibble. Stoute said the horse is not ready to run yet. Maybe a horse to keep an eye on for the Royal meeting though.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

One horse for me who has gone under the radar is FIRE SHIP currently 33/1 with corals, what an opputunity for young keiron. Now with good ground becoming more of a chance which is better for the top rated, running off effectivly 102 with the claim, his last run is very strong form on ‘good’ beaten a nk by a top horse in french navy and bronze angel back in 3rd when being up with the pace didnt look to suit.
3 concerns for me, pressure for the young jockey, early season form and trainer form.

But my pick for now is fire ship @ 33/1 :good:

Decent shout with Fire Ship. Will give a good run for it’s price at 33s.

When I think of Fire Ship, I think likes to sit handy and some cut in the ground over stiff 7 or 8f .Some rain forecast in Doncaster this week I believe and the race could just pan out nicely for this horse.

Was successful years ago, with Eradicate 3rd in Lincoln
and Lastofthebrownies 4th National in 1989.

This time my hopes are pinned on GM Hopkins Lincoln and The Druid’s Nephew B-)

You've got to accentuate the positive.
    Eliminate the negative.
    Latch on to the affirmative.
Don't mess with mister in between.

To me it looks like (apart from Mange All) the better fancied horse(according to the market)s are drawn high.Boom And Bust (20),will probably take them along stand side at a decent clip.Far side (low) Fire Ship may well be the pace angle there, while last years winner Ocean Tempest(10) usually races prominent.
I maybe biased, but happy with the pace stand side for my two picks,Gabrial and Gabrial’s Kaka

Dry,bright and windy since 9am yesterday, looks dry today, while a few light showers forcast tomorrow.Going could change back to good,GS in places if rain dont come

You can pretty much guarantee that high numbers will be favoured. Why? Simply because my main fancy Mondialiste got drawn in box 6 and the Caution Curse means that’s the wrong side.

I think last season was the worst I have ever had in terms of ante-post bets looking good as the prices have shortened, the horse gets in the race and is then given a minger of a draw. Kingston Hill was one example, drawn 20 of 20 in the Arc last year and don’t get me started on the big handicaps!

Still, I’ve got him at 25/1 and the average price on him is 14/1, so that’s a help.

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
