    MEYDAN
    Echo Point
out again in the 3.50 Nick after his promising 2nd last Friday.
However, he’s badly drawn in 11.. Will need a flying start to overcome this.
I’ll bet him at SP and EW as think 10/1 a bit short.
    :good: Jac
I’ll hopefully not be hitting so many bars this Friday. B-)

Good luck with bonus race Jac,what do you make of the 2000?
Had a ew play on Wes Wind Blows in lucky last, fingers crossed he stays the 14f.
Echo Point as you say looks slightly underpriced, maybe it’s the Jac factor :good:

    UAE 2000 Guineas

Devon Island looks the one to beat Nick but once again the draw (10) would put me off going in too heavy. I do think He’ll be in the mix at the finish though running on. :good:

Of the rest I’m taking an chance on …
    Brotherley Love (3 draw) – 14/1 EW
Ridden by Saffie Osborne who has ridden a few winners on this track and this horse has been runner up to Devon Island a couple of times. :good:

    Devon Island – Win
    Brotherly Love 14/1 – EW
    – Rev Forecast

    Starting off the day with…
    2.05 – Hypnus – 9/2 WIN

    Best of luck to all
    Jac :good:

I think Paddy is being a bit generous with odds of 16/1 for Hilitany. He’s
done little wrong. He’s only run 5 times for George Boughey but was thought
enough of in his introduction, where he was 2nd, to go off at 4/1 backed down
from 15/2 (touched 7/2) so clearly he was impressing them at home. He won his
next 2 then stretched it a bit far going for the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes,
he was a respectible 7th having been up there but fell away in the last furlong.
He had a break and on his 1st run at Meydan ran well in 4th. The comments attached
to his run said tired in the last furlong. I don’t agree with that, he just had 3
horses side by side in front of him, the jockey realised the situation and didn’t
burn him up. He’s got a good draw in 1 if he can get out quick enough and he has won
    from the front.

    Hilitany 16/1 e/w Paddy Power.

In the 4.25 I’ve tried to get something at decent odds, but I just can’t
get away from Walk of stars. He won this last year (same trainer/Jockey)
and would have needed his run last month after 8 months off, leading from
the get go and only being nabbed in the last 110 yards. This clearly has
been the plan since last year. Well why wouldn’t you for £446,964 ?
The odds aren’t great but I think he’s too good to give up

Walk of Stars 11/4 William Hill.

5.35 I have to say that I was mega impressed with Yamdeek in his 1st
introduction to racine where he finished 2nd to the favourite Brotherly
Love. I travelled well throughout and was content to sit back. Going round
the final bend he hadn’t been asked for anything, and still had about 10 in
front of him. When Connor Beasley pressed the button he went past the field
like they were trees. The fav had already flown but Yamdeek must have made up
the best part of 20L in that last couple of furlongs. I think he’s got an
    outstanding chance.

    Yamdeek 25/1 e/w William Hill.

I think that will do me for now unless something else catches my eye. I hate
to bet against Godolphin when I desperately need the points, but betting is
    betting.

Very best of luck today all, I hope we come home with a satchel of the
    bookies money :good:

Doh..I hit that bar AGAIN
    But …..
This time I had a cunning plan and put Echo Point in a Reverse Forecast with Cover Up so hoping it will pay quite well..I’ll let you know.

I think your Hilitany got 4th Graham hope your bookie pays out. :good: Jac

Well done with your f/c Jac, that kept you in the game :yahoo:

Hilitany was indeed 4th Jac but Paddy only paid 3 places (miserable get).
Wasted a good draw and with less than a furlong to go he was 8th but ran
on strongly with no chance of catching the front 3, beaten 4 1/2L.

I was out all afternoon so didn’t see any of the races, which was
maybe just as well. Really disappointed with Yandeek, he ran the
other way round from last time out. He stayed up prominent and
looked to going well until he fell into a hole 400mts out. If
it aint broke, don’t fix it. You can bet your boots that he’s
held up next time, if he is I’d still fancy him. Black mark
    for Beasley :mail:

At least my man Si Woo Kim is only 1 shot off the lead over in the USA.
He’s still got 5 holes to play in the 2nd round. He’s 30/1 so could get
me out of a hole after my Meydan disaster

Well played Jac good stuff :good:
My ew in the early race fell into frame at 20s although I only on at 12s
West wind blows 4th so no good was disappointed by the run,but looks like gelding Sunway may have finally woke him up. Opera Ballo did what was expected

I hope everyone is doing well. I always enjoy seeing posts about all your bookie bashing!

The massive winter storm moving across the US is going to cripple many states. Fortunately I live far enough north, that we should “only” see a few inches of snow. Many of the southern states will be crippled with ice, and heavy snow.

Hard to believe it’s already swap time in the TTF comp. I wonder if I can swap 4 or 5 of mine?? Probably not….

Good Luck with any bets and all your comp selections.

I’m a big fan of Jagwar, but Jonjo O’neil jr drives me mad. He got that horse beat
today by sitting motionless on Jagwar, who was travelling beautifully, he rode him like
there was no question he would win. Sat about 4th or 5th and finally made a move going
to the last to take on Donnacha, a horse that has only been 3 times out of the framee
in his entire 16 runs including 4 wins and 2nd last 2 times out. So he decides to put
his whole basket of eggs on the run-in where he will soar past the useless Donnacha.
Unfortunately Donnicha hadn’t read the script and kept his head down and battled all
the way to the line to hang on by a head. This “jockey” drives me mad, and if he
gets the leg-up on him at the Festival I reckon he could lose a race on a horse that
is good enough to win. JP won’t jock him off because of his relationhip with his dad.
    I think it’s a crying shame

Feel your anger re Jagwar Graham, that horse is a machine, his dad is blindsided..just doesn’t see it. 🫣

Yes it was a reasonably good day for myself at Meydan yesterday but I did keep Stakes low.

One things for certain Nick that high draw at Meydan on the 1 mile dirt track takes no prisoners and Devon Island made a good run for home at the finish.
I was surprised your Yamdeek failed to shine Graham same as my Brotherly Love and they were drawn 1 and 3.
Devon Island back on dirt with a favourable draw next time out. :good:

Yes Andre time to make some swaps in the TTF comp and I have one horse who never even started due to a setback Masaccio do he will be swapped out with one other.
I have two lovely grey substitutes standing in the Wings. B-) :mail:

Take care with those storms in the USA Andre and keep safe.

No compy points for myself today it was a tricky day and Grey Dawning getting beat was a downer, but thankfully he’s ok more than can be said for poor Sir Gino who has a possible pelvic injury. All prayers for him to make a full recovery and take time out to build his strength up.🌹🐎 Jac x

There was me thinking I had a duff day at Cheltenham, it wasn’t until
a good bit later I remembered my ante post on Nemean Lion. He was just
over a length behind The New Lion who is as low as 11/4 in a few places.
I wrote a bit about him in the Unibet Hurdle race thread. I said this
wasn’t any no hoper. I didn’t expect him to beat Sir Gino, poor thing,
I hope he is alright. I thought there was a reasonable chance he could
get in the first 2 places when I placed the bet. When they went down to
4 runners it was still 2 places I had. I should have take the 66s for the
Champion Hurdle. Again I don’t expect him to win, but I definitely wouldn’t
rule out a place. I took the 50/1 with Willie Hill and he’s still 50s there.
I doubt he will be that for much longer. So it ended up a good day after all :good:
