Oh and Darren and I both have the 2nd, David Puig,16/1 in the
Dubai Desert Classic with one round to go, albeit he’s got to
make up 4 shots, definitely not impossible. Even better we’ve
both got the leader in the American Express, Si Woo Kim, 30/1,
with one round to go. Darren also has a longshot, E Cole, who
is T4th, 2 shots off the lead at a staggering 375/1

Well part 1 of our (mine and Darren’s) golfing leg didn’t go
exactly to plan. Puig got to within 1 shot of the leader at
halfway (9th) and then blew it with 3 bogies on the back 9

So 3rd at 16/1, at least covers the bets.

C’mon Si Woo Kim – The American Express starts in a couple of hours :good:

Good luck with your golf bets Graham! Jagwar was poorly ridden and Donacha is a very gutsy good horse. I hope Sir Gino is okay. Just another excellent horse with a trainer I have little respect for.

No idea what I’m doing with my swaps yet….. I’ve got five horses that haven’t scored a point – so probably two of them will go……. I’ll need to check on any rumors of race plans, etc.

I will avoid commenting on the atrocities that Trump and his cultists are carrying out in the US. It makes my blood boil (to say the least).

    Stay Safe Everyone

Cheers Jac, I posted my ante post bet at the bottom on the last page.
A good e/w although I forgot I’d placed it till later on Saturday.

Kim started about an hour ago Jac, he’s played 4 holes and is still
ahead by 1 shot. I’ll update you at the end :good:

Thankks Andre and Jac for the encouragement but Si Woo Kim didn’t quite make it, in fact he
didn’t make it at all. Finished 6th with only 5 counting. Darrens long shot had a bad day
at the office from starting 2 off the lead. I had a bit of a longshot as well, Ryan Gerard,
at 50/1 but I didn’t think he had any chance so didn’t bother to mention him. However he
only went and shot a 7 under par round to finish T2nd. I didn’t see that one coming but
    here he is

So all in all between Nomean Lion e/w at 50s, Puig 3rd at 16s and the one I hadn’t declared
on here, Gerard, (it was in Darrens Thread ) it’s been a very decent weekend :good:

Love to see it Graham! Well done mate. :yahoo:

Was just reading about Sir Gino and his fractured pelvis…. how does that happen? Hopefully he’ll be okay – although there has to be questions about him ever racing again.

    :yahoo: Well done Graham :yahoo:
Just knew you’d pull it off somehow..and you did. :yahoo:
Nemeon Lion EW too .. what a weekend you’ve had. :rose:

Sir Gino could race again Andre depending on the severity and placement of his fracture. Nicky Henderson was sending out good vibes about his prognosis so we just have to wait it out and hope and pray he is OK. 🙏

How are you fairing with the storms Andre hope you are not getting hit to hard in your area. It’s been a turbulent, foot in mouth, week for the orange person who has totally lost his moral compass with the remarks he made re Afghanistan and the terrible tragic shootings by ICE in Minniapolis.😪 Keep safe. :rose: Jac x

Thanks Andre and Jac, yes it turned out a great weekend, just not
the way I expected it to go, but I’m not complaining. I’ve started
giving serious thought to the Festival now. I’ve had to go through
them for Rummy’s Cheltenham TRF V Pricewise. I better get my skates
on with Bobby’s Compy, just a few days until the Dublin Racing
Festival. Obviousy State Man is going, but I’m not sure who else.
I’ll kick myself if my 2nd transfer out goes and wins a big one
    at the festival

Best of luck all at Dublin, time to get the Shekels together for
    the Cheltenham Festival :good:

Thanks Nick, hope you are keeping well. I’ll have my picks sorted
out before Friday. It might just be a day to have a stable swap,
I could do with some fresh blood :good:

Thanks Nathan :good: I just noticed that an old friend of
mine, The Jam Man, who did me well and then let me down in
    equal measures
He’s running at Chepstow so I feel I’ve got to have a little dig for
    old times sake.

I should add that the Jam Man is 13 years of age, and has lost 6 hurdles
on the trot for his new trainer. They have flung him into a chase to see
if that can rouse his interest. I get the feeling if he’s tailed off of
pulled up that will likely be his last race. I wouldn’t want to miss that

    Great pick Graham
:yahoo: The Jam Man 4th at 66/1 :yahoo:
I’ve only just seen this but would have had a bit EW as Tiptree Jam Factory is 3 miles up the road from us. They even filmed a Midsummer Murder episode there,
    Series 8- Episode 7 –
    Sauce For The Goose
with quite a few of the staff left in as extras..it’s a great visitor attraction in our area.

    Well Graham done great pick.

Thanks Jac, I’ve been spending the last hour trying to get my slip
onto the mem generator site, but antway as I had done so well at
the weekend I stuck on £20 E/W which returned £284 :yahoo:
To be honest I didn’t enjoy watching it, I was terrified The
Jam Man would get a bad fall or injury. Instead he jumped really
well and although he doesn’t have the speed now, there was only
a few that got round, but my boy never gave up, quite emotional
to see him cross the line 4th. i’d be happy if the new owner and
trainer let him just run about his field. He gave all he could
today but at 13 I think he’s given a lot over the years, I
think he’s done his bit and deserves a good retirement :good:
