I too like Prompter, but I think that
Montaff
could be the one on a softer surface and I think coming from off the pace in a bigger field may finally unlock the ability that is clearly there. Interesting that Murtagh has been provisionally booked as well. 25/1 is good eachway value to me.

Willing Foe
isn’t at all badly priced at 6/1, especially with soft ground likely to play to his strengths as a son of Dynaformer. He’ll do as a saver with
The Betchworth Kid
(16/1) my main interest. He’s finally beginning to re-find his form, Alan King is back amongst the winners and Dale Swift takes off a useful 5lb.
November 3, 2010 at 20:24 #326096Just thinking that Murtagh is at Churchill Downs this weekend, I assume Catlin or Holland will take the ride.

Just my opinion, AJ, but
Senate
(7/1) beat Times Up a deal more comfortably than did Willing Foe. Thought classy enough to drop back 2f at Newbury too, though, given his style of running, his draw totally killed that idea.

That’s true, reet; he (Senate) was also 2lb worse off. But Willing Foe is less experienced, will improve for soft ground and receives a handy 4lb from the Gosden horse.

I see reet hard contributing to my thread and think ah ha he"s up for a Duel, never mind! Its coming reet!

Senate
is my danger to
Prompter
,the booking of Richard Hughes speaks volumes too! Good luck.
November 4, 2010 at 23:16 #326267Willing Foe is also a full brother to a Group 1 winner.
My other fancy, though it would seem much shorter than ideal, is Palomar.

Dream on, Queenie!
One swallow does not a summer make – even though you’ve lived off its carcase for much longer.

I guess you are still reeling from that Swallow
Imperial Commander
are you reet? In fact the only thing you had to do was Swallow your pride! The Vultures finished that carcase! I could compare thee to the
Audley Harrison
of racing, plenty of gas but nothing to ignite it!
November 5, 2010 at 21:20 #326428A race i have always had a soft spot for since i backed my first November handicap winner
Abu Kadra
back on a glorious Autumn day in 1984! I backed
The Betchworth Kid
2 yrs ago and tomorrow he is actually running off a lower mark! Hayley still gets rattled about getting beat on him then,he is a big player with his claimer on! Hayley rides
Prompter
this year and knows wherever The Kid finishes she wont be far away!
Senate
is a progressive sort not unlike my winner last year Charm school and ticks all the boxes! My 4th horse is
Tepmokea
who is another i see going well under current race conditions!

SANCTUAIRE – GREATWOOD HURDLESimon,
Knockara Beau
is typical of a performance from a horse who hated the conditions on the day,it was a bad enough performance to put many punters off him for good, however i stick to what he has achieved in the past and believe he will have his day! Your 3 selections all have a favourites chance should the first 2 win you will have a grand running onto Denman, you may think the fortnight waiting for the race to come round will be tense but the race itself will be a lot worse! Too many very good 2nd season chasers getting 2 stone off him,who too are Gold cup hopefuls,
Weird Al
,
Diamond Harry
,Pandorama and Burton Port! Good Luck, you will need it just for Sam to get Long Run round in one piece!
November 13, 2010 at 22:47 #327840I shall try my luck with
Manyriverstocross
