    Ironic that posters were querying Manning’s credentials on the associated threat. After a tardy start he did little wrong.<br>In contrast Kinane had a troubled time unless his instructions were to be last with a couple of furlongs to go then weave around looking for a gap as if he were a kid riding a gymkhana pony

    Great description Lingfield, totally agree, but even talking through my wallet, having backed Holy Roman Emperor, the way Teofilo refused to be headed, I always felt that he had enough ammo to have won the race anyway.

    My figure for Teofilo’s time yesterday is 125. The fastest Dewhurst in recent years had been Shamardal’s 123 in 2004. Three Valleys recorded 127 in the 2003 Coventry and Motivator 127 in the Racing Post Trophy of 2004.
